My KDL43W809CBU finally arrived today! It's in practically brand new condition in its original box, the only sign of wear being a scratch on the rear of the remote. Having set it up and figured out how to disable all - and there are loads - of the unnecessary image processing gimmicks, it looks fantastic. No dead pixels, a little bit of uneven backlighting but not noticeable 98% of the time. Basically, a complete steal for £270. Amazing! Thanks very much OP for the heads-up!

I had the same model for £329 with free 5 year warranty from JL. I suggest 5 years warranty is worth the extra money as two my TV died just over two years of use.

Suspect there will be more of these given the alleged high return rate...

mine arrived last week. Absolutely beautiful . If you're planning on viewing 3d movies via a popular streaming app it will need to be a version external to the TV not via Android TV though

Great price. Just in contact with my local store as wasn't clear how returns would work - seen plenty of bad ones. Apparently the sale could be allocated any store, not necessarily the nearest one to you. So if there's a problem you'd have to stump up for a courier and pay to return it. Bit different to the old Sony site though understand why they stopped doing it. That's my understanding anyway, nothing surprises me with Sony customer service.
