the main benefit your camera has is ergonomics tbh, try these out of used to a dslr as may feel like a shaky toy and the availability of lenses

Yes, though not all E mount lenses have OSS. The only E-mount bodies with stabilisation are some full frame models, the A7 II, A7 R II and A7S II.

Interesting, yes I hadn't realised these were APS-C sensors, I'm using a Sony A55 SLT camera and doing a comparison on one of the spec compare websites this seems to beat my Sony A55 in quite a few areas.... Image stabilisation seems to be the main feature my A55 has over this.... Are the E mount lens stabilised in the lens rather than the body?

Mainly agree. Just to add - one other advantage of Sony is that overall package is smaller due to its kit lens.

Fuji produces images more to my liking (and has excellent quality and some small primes) but portability often makes a difference in deciding whether to carry the camera.

Also, Fuji 16-50 lens is great. I replaced mine with 18-55 but can't really see any improvement. Though that having dedicated aperture ring would be better but by-wire control of it mostly cancels any advantage for me.

Thanks for pointing out MPB website - bought the last cheaper 16-50 from them. Been looking for a used one on ebay now and then but nothing under £100 last few weeks.

​thanks for the advice, I'm along similar lines...I agree that Sony offers best IQ for the price but ergonomics/built quality/good viewfinder are high on my list thats why I'm thinking of Fuji. To be honest I don't want to stretch beyond £400 with kit lens so I'm thinking for 2nd hand body(xpro1 probably)...as for the primes I've got some quality MF glass, I shoot mainly landscapes, architecture,low light so AF is not important for me..

Fantastic camera, bought it at the same price half a year ago from JL. Shoots really well in low light!

Are people going for these due to compact size? I'm assuming the better pictures are going to come from a dslr with the larger sensor? Just curious as a Sony DSLR owner what the main draw is here?

I was lucky enough to get this for £274 from Amazon at the start of Feb. Great camera and still a great price at £299.

was thinking of getting the a5000 on argos finance , but at this price , i might pick this one up at full price . arghhhh decisions

To be fair the A6000 is crazy value, easily the best crop sensor mirrorless camera in terms of price-performance ratio in my opinion.
Have you looked at the X-Pro1 or X-E2 body with a used 16-50mm kit lens? You can get the lens for as little as £84 from mpbphotographic (and probably even less from eBay), paired with the bodies that sell for £400 you're easily in the same ballpark as an A6000 kit, with each of these cameras having its own set of strengths and weaknesses.

Shame it's not the a6000 for this price, can't live without a viewfinder
