Best deal I could find , for new customers only , the price breakdown was £11.31 for Linerental plus £5 for the Sky Family TV bundle with free unlimited broadband. Discount was for 12 months on a 12 month contract with £16.95 upfont cost . Would go back to full price after 12 months but then tou have option of cancelling or negotiating another deal .
Not sure how long this deal is on for.

I have been with sky since they had square dishes but cancelled my £76 package a few weeks back. All they offered me was 10% off my monthly subscription. They can shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
They should realise there are lots of ways to watch sky nowadays for little or nothing.
I won't be going back, the £76 per month i save will buy me a new TV for christmas.

Sky are a complete joke their pricing strategy is diabolical, been with them for years and had very little back in respect of loyalty rewards for staying and they are starting to try and get clever giving 12 months on tv and 9 months only on broadband so trying to tie you in. Just bothered about new customers so playing them at their own game cancelled and got a cracking 12 month deal with bt and if that's pants will go back after 12 months and sign back up as a new customer and get more new equipment out of them ..... We can all play the game sky !!!

Exactly what happened to me about 2 years ago having been with them on a full package for about 14yrs.
Since then I've bought sky now boxes with movies and entertainment subscriptions when I want them. Far far cheaper and quality just as good, just can't record, and sports is expensive if you need that, but everything on catch up and all box sets too.

I feel for you! I always cancel after every 12 months. One in my name then the next year in my fathers name. Always get at least 50% off every year. Lets face it Virgin and BT (to some extent) are offering better deals. Virgin always has amazing offers going thru out the year.

I'm probably tempting fate here but i just rang up and got this offer:
Sky family bundle, Sky Fibre BB and line rental for £11.33/month on a 12 month contract.
A few days ago I signed up for unlimited Fibre BB for £17.40/Month. After seeing this deal I thought I'd try my luck and see if I could get it. So, the nice guy on the phone offered me this deal on top of my existing fibre deal. And on his system when both offers were added it brought the price down to £11.33!
Edit: Oh and the lovely sky man said I should still get my £75 quidco too!

What was the deal you got with BT if you don't mind me asking? I'm paying Virgin £38pm for phone and 150mbps broadband and looking to switch to BT but there's no decent offers on their site and they're looking £49 Infinity activation fee, £20 engineer installation and £7.95 hub delivery charge. Jog on BT!
I need unlimited BB but wouldn't mind the 38mbps Infinity as I really don't need anywhere near 150mbps! BT Sport would be a bonus to me.

I recently cancelled my virgin big bang contract (tv, phone and 100mb broadband) because they were increasing from 36 to 38/39 a month.
The retensions sales team phone you a few days later and negotiated £39 for the Big Kahuna bundle with 200mb broadband, line rental and TV XL (with BT sports).
You have to wait for the Virgin Media sales team to call you - the cancellation dept you get when you call are rubbish so just give them your 30 days notice. You can withdraw your notice at any time.

I can't wait to cancel $ky. I've been with them for just over 20yrs, recently wanted to cancel my TV but keep the BB & phone. I was told because I took up an offer last year I've got to wait until June to cancel. I asked if there was a fine to pay to get out of the contract, but told all I could do is pay what it would be to stay with them until June - what would be the point in that? I understand I'm under contract and I'm begrudgingly honouring my side, but that doesn't stop them hiking the prices a couple of times a year beyond what the offers were.
So come June I'm cancelling the lot & really looking forward to making the phonecall! Seeing offers like this just confirms the feeling that existing loyal customers are being ripped off to subsidise their offers for new customers.

Yes they do... but only if its on record. Check your landline for an 0844 call (or 0800 sometimes). Call it back it will tell you if it was VM.
Current deals are:
£47 big kahunah but with 100meg bb.
£40 Large with 100meg
£32.50 for smallest tv pack.
They pay line rental for the year.
Got my offer yesterday but still tempted by this deal as its cheaper! Only offputting thing is the broadband speed I would get on fibre is only 20meg and I need a new line which Im guessing they will charge for?

Ah cheers. Will have a look if my mobile is in my details. Don't really want to leave really as I only use BB and nothing else.

Great price for those who can get it. I cancelled my contract after Christmas, and while retentions do try some minor incentives they are far less than the offers they emailed me about 2-3 weeks after having no Sky TV. Then the 50% or 60% + cashback offers start coming through to tempt you back.
I think the key bit there is being prepared to go completely without it for a few weeks / month, rather than expecting Sky to just halve the cost of your subscription for asking and have no break in service. If they see you have genuinely left that is lost business to them.

The lack of transparency when it comes to Sky's pricing is horrendous. Someone can be paying 3 times as much as their neighbour and be getting exactly the same services and content. In fact that's a common scenario! I'm flabbergasted that it's legal.

18 Mar 16#69
Not quite @ CPW. They would do unlimited fibre for £5 extra, but only for 6 months, then the whole package reverts to full price i.e.
Non-Fibre = TV+BB £5/m for 12m + line rental £/11 for 12m
Fibre = TV+Fibre £10/m for 6m then £56/m + line rental £/11 for 12m
Will see what Currys have.

I went to the desk and asked about the deal as I couldn't see it advertised. The gentleman said that under the agreement they have, they're not allowed to advertise it! He believed that Sky are targeting a few extra sales in order to hit figures during a quarter, but don't want the general public to know how desperate they are in an increasingly competitive market.
Needless to say I've signed up, since it works out cheaper than what I'm currently paying just for phone & broadband with Plusnet. However I noticed in my email that it stated the line rental at the full £17.40 price, despite my printed documents from Currys stating £11.31 for 12 months - so will be clarifying that with the intermediary team who are due to contact me in a couple of days.

Basically got 12 months broadband for £17.40, £10 setup fee and free family pack for 12 months for him. I've signed up to Sky broadband unlimited with MoneySavingExpert whereby I managed to get unlimited ADSL for £17.49 per month with £100.00 credited back. I had to pay £25 (of which £5 will be credited back as had to give bank card details) and the £20 was to get connected due to being with TalkTalk (LLU). My "Go Live" date is thisThursday and I received the modem last week. Can I bargain with Sky to get this deal or cancel and go to PCWorld. When signing up for the deal I got, I was unable to get "Fibre" but I can now. Anyone have any suggestions to get the best deal. I've never had SKY TV and would like to get a SKY Sports deal if I could, but not imperative.

22 Mar 16#105
We're in the process of moving house, and currently have 78mb fibre, but Plusnet can't offer that in the new house. They said that because they can offer normal ADSL, that I either have to switch to that (Max 6mb, estimated 3.5mb), or pay to cancel my contract!
They told me I either have to buy out my existing fibre contract with 17 months @ £13.56 + £30 cessation fee, or move to ADSL @ £9.99p/m + £16.99 a month line rental.
I think looking at this though, I may be able to change to ADSL for 1 month in the new house, then buy out 16 months @ £9.99pm and take out this new offer from Sky,, resulting in being better off, and having Sky TV!!
Excellent, thanks OP! Fingers crossed they have the offer in my local Currys/PC World (Exeter).

So has anyone tried asking Sky to give them vouchers to 'buy out' the rest of their existing BB contract?

The speed is supposedly up to 40mbits and is "unlimited". I'm sure it will be slower than my Virgin Media, but hoping it won't be too bad.
The cost is complicated as the first 6 months are at a different price to the 2nd 6 months, but averaged out at just under £39 per month *including* £35 activation fee and £10 for something else. The installation is free (unless that's what the £10 was) including the dish (if I need the old one from previous house owners replaced) and the 500GB HD+. I think they basically gave me the TV part of the deal (family bundle) for free, so the £2 price rise in June shouldn't affect me either

Ah ok. I just went into Curry during lunch and signed up (the penny deal) do Virgin do not have any leverage and if they don't offer me anything I can switch to Sky.
I got the Family package with line rental and broadband but opted for fibre 38mb for an extra £5 with unlimited allowance which comes to £30 pm. Far better than virgin as I was paying £25 for 50mb BB.
Just will have to see what their sky service is like now.

just a heads up, the confirmation emails that i've received have been a different price to the contract (more expensive). Not significantly. Not sure which will be taken from my bill, but as I noted someone else in this thread had the same experience, be mindful!

Hi...my plusnet is now thankfully coming to the end of the 12 months. All the bad reviews I can confirm first hand on plusnet are 100% true ! Is this sky fibre via currys in store the best that's around at the moment ?

Well I agreed to the OPs post with the saleman at Currys (with the extra £5 for fibre), I read the pieces of paper he gave me to on Saturday (was showing the wife) and it was a totally different price. Infact, was way too expensive. Going back down later today to ask.

What is the internet speed that comes with this bundle?

Not sure how long this deal is on for.

Since then I've bought sky now boxes with movies and entertainment subscriptions when I want them. Far far cheaper and quality just as good, just can't record, and sports is expensive if you need that, but everything on catch up and all box sets too.
I need unlimited BB but wouldn't mind the 38mbps Infinity as I really don't need anywhere near 150mbps! BT Sport would be a bonus to me.
Defo worth a punt guess you got to play the game shame as I didn't mind sky, but just had base broadband with then and their offer to upgrade also included an installation charge which was higher than the £49!!! So bye bye sky!!
It rarely, if ever pays to be loyal to companies.
So come June I'm cancelling the lot & really looking forward to making the phonecall! Seeing offers like this just confirms the feeling that existing loyal customers are being ripped off to subsidise their offers for new customers.
Currently in my notice period with Virgin and they haven't called me back :disappointed: (do they ring mobiles?). Going to actually have to look else where now lol

However this sky package looks quite lucrative! Is it 20 meg? I guess that isn't too bad as I have a blade box so if that is replaced by a sky box then the only thing we use it for is our phones and ps4.
Hmmmm
£30 a month The Complete Bundle comes with…
11 incredible Sky Movies channels
7 dedicated Sky Sports channels
Over 50 entertainment channels in stunning HD
Over 300 brilliant Box Sets
Our award-winning Sky+ HD Box
The UK’s widest range of Catch up TV
can add Multiscreen and Sky Go Extra for just £5 extra a month for 12 months.
Offer ends 24 March
If interested i would need you name and email to send code
I think the key bit there is being prepared to go completely without it for a few weeks / month, rather than expecting Sky to just halve the cost of your subscription for asking and have no break in service. If they see you have genuinely left that is lost business to them.
Non-Fibre = TV+BB £5/m for 12m + line rental £/11 for 12m
Fibre = TV+Fibre £10/m for 6m then £56/m + line rental £/11 for 12m
Will see what Currys have.
Plus with Sky announcing the sky sports mix channel for all customers, this is a decent deal.
Shame in 12 months time your gonna have to haggle.
Could you kindly confirm which BB package you got? I'm looking for the non-capped fibre (up to 38mb) ideally, is this an option? Read all the posts but can't see a definitive answer
Someone here mentioned getting Cashback also?
Needless to say I've signed up, since it works out cheaper than what I'm currently paying just for phone & broadband with Plusnet. However I noticed in my email that it stated the line rental at the full £17.40 price, despite my printed documents from Currys stating £11.31 for 12 months - so will be clarifying that with the intermediary team who are due to contact me in a couple of days.
Don't suppose you got fibre? If so how much extra, and is it unlimited downloads?
Package as described for £16.31
Guy very kindly messed around with manual option builder to see what the price was to add on sports and movies but sadly it came out at full cost with no extra savings so not worthwhile. Will just need to get another Openbox for my sports and movies ;-)
PS: multiroom was also the full price as an option to add on; £11.25 so no discount on that either.
Can someone else who got the deal check the paperwork they received?
Im looking at page 2 and it says a summary of one off costs and lists equipment as £205.95 ??!!??
Is this the same for anyone else?
Also, can this be taken out just for the broadband and line rental and not using the sky tv equipment?
They told me I either have to buy out my existing fibre contract with 17 months @ £13.56 + £30 cessation fee, or move to ADSL @ £9.99p/m + £16.99 a month line rental.
I think looking at this though, I may be able to change to ADSL for 1 month in the new house, then buy out 16 months @ £9.99pm and take out this new offer from Sky,, resulting in being better off, and having Sky TV!!
Excellent, thanks OP! Fingers crossed they have the offer in my local Currys/PC World (Exeter).
I visited the "Samsung Experience" shop (Carphone Warehouse) in Bristol today and spoke to an assistant. The offer he showed looked good, but the numbers were so confusing neither he, the manager or I couldn't work out whether it was a good deal or not.
Anyway, I just phoned Sky and got them to match the deal I was (possibly) offered. This was for Sky+ HD, Family Bundle, Talk Unlimited Extra (?), line rental and Fibre Unlimited. I've considered switching from Virgin for years, but never found a cheap enough deal.
Thanks
