Thought this a really decent offer, Superdry Frames are usually soo expensive & the ones in the pic seem to be £70 - £100 elsewhere but by using code EXTRA10SPRING you can get them for £30.20 del including basic prescription lenses, they have a few other styles also at this price and a few more inc Superdry prescription sunglasses for £39.20
Glasses include basic lenses you can add various extras, such as Scratch resistant coatings, Anti glare or opt for thinner lenses. All those are extra though, so if you're just after some decent frames with basic lenses & no extras you can just skip past those options.
Make sure you double check your prescription info before checking out or you can even ring them later with the info if not to hand.

Whilst I've no doubt this is considered cheap for glasses, this is the one area of my life I refuse to cut corners with. Worth paying extra through opticians and ensuring the glasses are correct first time and the lenses are correctly aligned. Although I should add that I have terrible eyesight, if I had -0.5 prescription lenses it might not be such a risk.

Thank you to everyone who made a positive comment in this thread. We are happy you had good experience with our products and service.
We apologise to those who experienced any issues. We've now increased our UK Glazing Lab capacity to speed up the processing times. Our glasses are NOT delivered from China or Pakistan, but cut to your prescriptions in our labs in West Yorkshire.
We have recently increased our glazing capabilities in order to meet demand, this will therefore reduce the need to contact us asking where products are etc.
We have also improved our Customer Services Department - ensuring your emails and phone calls/texts are answered in a timely manner.
We will also endeavor to follow up individually with everyone who complained about their order in this thread.
We are proud of our products and we want you to be able to buy them cheaper than on the high street.
We're not perfect (yet!) - but we're putting steps in place to make sure we're close.

Finally got my glasses after first pair were smaller than advertised. I paid extra for fast delivery. took three months in total and was not offered any of the postage charges back. I'm not sure if they are right anyway as they are my first reading glasses but they seem too strong. but it's been so much hassle i'm not sending them back again, I'm just going to avoid this outfit in future.

I can't speak for anyone else here SpeckyFourEyes are the only online glasses seller that have sent me glasses cut to the wrong prescription. To be fair you repaired the glasses when I pointed this out.
What troubles me about dealing with your company again is that you failed to respond to my repeated requests that you refund me the cost of return postage. You had told me you would refund my return postage costs as you had manufactured the glasses in error of the prescription. However, when I asked you to fulfil this pledge you didn't respond to any of my communications. I wonder if others are posting on this thread because they've also failed to get any communication back from you.

Are you referring to 'online opticians' overall or just us?
If you're referring to us solely, then perhaps you'd like to contact us directly with a list of names where you have seen ''horrendously incorrect measurements and some even incorrect prescription''?
If what you're saying is indeed true, then perhaps the Optical Store where you work is regularly issuing ''incorrect prescriptions'' as we only use the measurements that are supplied by High Street Opticians to make our glasses.

After a Month & 1 Week of Waiting I've finally received them today. I started getting impatient when It hit the Month Mark and started hounding them and chasing them around it. They gave me a timescale finally when they'd get shipped out and they also Upgraded It to Special Delivery. So Overall with the Specky 2 Package Offered at £9 instead of £19 & The Glasses at £30.20 and Free Bump up to Special Delivery I was pleased with the final result. Excellent Price for a great pair, Just be warned of the wait if your Patient!

I've had exactly the same issues with incorrect prescriptions at both Vision Express and Specsavers over the years so I fail to see your point?
Vision express made me a pair of glasses with +0.75 lenses instead of +6.75 and Supersavers made a pair of glasses with the wrong lenses that were so thick you couldn't close the arms! An independent small chain of opticians even ordered me the wrong size frame and then tried to fob me off. I could go on..
I haven't used speccy four eyes but regularly use goggles4u and if the glasses they supply aren't correct they will remake them until you are happy with them - pretty much the same service offered by any high street optician TBH but at a fraction of the price. I also know for a fact that some of the independent opticians use these same companies then considerably mark up the prices.

Ordered the Bench glasses deal off here a few months back. Took nearly two months to arrive and my email chasing delivery went unanswered. When the glasses came they were poorly finished and the nose pads were sharp and scratched my nose each time I put them on.
I emailed to complain to be told bluntly send them back and we will remake them. When I left a suitable review on Trustpilot they reported it for breaching that sites' guidelines so I had to verify I was a genuine customer to get the review back up. As soon as it went back up they called me and were desperate to get me to remove the review. I pointed out their poor customer service and how they didn't bother to contact me when my review first went live instead they tried to get it removed by reporting it (if you look on Trustpilot see how many reviews are referred for potential breach of guidelines I.e the negative ones). Said in the end I was going to leave the review as it was totally accurate and they said 'what would it take for me to remove it'. Felt like I was being bribed so I told them I was leaving it there.

Good afternoon,
We'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for the delay in processing your order.
As you may already be aware, this promotion was featured on Money Saving Expert and as a result we've had more orders then anticipated.
We're aiming to dispatch your glasses to you between 14th - 17th April.
We appreciate that this isn't ideal, however, we're confident that you will be happy with our products when they arrive direct from our in-house glazing lab in the UK.
Should you wish to discuss this, please feel free to contact us by replying to this email.
Kind regards,

I've not used this shop, but my main pair of glasses was purchased from another online glasses seller, after having browsed various high street stores to identify the exact frame I wanted. I paid just over £120 for what would have cost me ~£350 in Boots (Dolce and Gabanna frame, thin/light lenses).
Frankly I'd have saved £100+ if I'd just bought the frames and free lenses and taken them to Boots or similar and had them re-glazed, which I was told could be done at my own risk to damage to the frames.

Nice in theory but... I know how much it costs to have lenses thinned to what I like, and lots of naysayers... I'll stick to the online supplier I use. SelectSpecs. Usually take 1 to 2 weeks from order.
Example I ran up yesterday based on my nasty long-sighted (+4.25) prescription:
Wayfarers style frame: £10
Thinned lenses: £25 (standard thin and light are £10)
Tint (full colour OR gradiated): £40
Not the greatest bargain, but still pretty good for prescription shades!

(Edit)
Sorry, thought this was about sunglasses for some reason, re-read and realised my mistake.
Will still stick with SelectSpecs still. Decent frames, cheap lenses, quick delivery.

As others have commented - delivery is very slow (at least a month).
I've ordered 2 pairs from them. The first a couple of years ago were okay, but the pair I ordered at the start of the year gave me bad headaches. After a couple of weeks of suffering I took the pair to my optician who measured the lens and discovered they'd cut one to the wrong prescription, and that is why I was getting the headaches.
It took another month for specky to correct the error and they charged me return postage for the privilege of correcting the glasses they'd manufactured wrongly. They had assured me they'd credit me the value of the postage but are ignoring all my messages on the matter since. In other words, use this company at your peril.

I was going to cancel the order after this as the prescription was 0.25 out of maximum allowed but they weaved this as I took them up on the Specky2 Package which was good of them!

My eyesight is not great but not terrible, mostly for computer use and reading and I too felt like you. I would usually spend £200 for frames and lens every 2 year. This week though I went online and got some nice RayBans for £100, would have cost me over £200 on the high-street and probably more if I had went to a non chain optician. The service was great, arrived within a week with a total 100% money back guarantee. I got anti-glare, thinner glass for free, honestly will not go back to the high-street who charge over the odds for a lot of faffing about. I went to Spexforless, if your not 100% happy you will get your money back, no questions asked, I would really advise you give them a try, nothing to loose.
