Specky Four Eyes have a winter sale on & have quite a few discount codes to bring the prices down even further, codes are only valid on the items in the link & can't be used in conjunction with any other code, but it means you can get a pair of Bench glasses for £19.99 del, pair of Henley's for £14.99 del & so on. Glasses include basic lenses you can add various extras, such as Scratch resistant coatings, Anti glare or opt for thinner lenses. All those are extra though, so if you're just after some decent frames with no extras you can just skip past those options.
Make sure you double check your prescription info before checking out or you can even ring them later with the info if not to hand.

Thank you to everyone who made a positive comment in this thread. We are happy you had good experience with our products and service.
We apologise to those who experienced any issues. We've now increased our UK Glazing Lab capacity to speed up the processing times. Our glasses are NOT delivered from China or Pakistan, but cut to your prescriptions in our labs in West Yorkshire.
We have recently increased our glazing capabilities in order to meet demand, this will therefore reduce the need to contact us asking where products are etc.
We have also improved our Customer Services Department - ensuring your emails and phone calls/texts are answered in a timely manner.
We will also endeavor to follow up individually with everyone who complained about their order in this thread.
We are proud of our products and we want you to be able to buy them cheaper than on the high street.
We're not perfect (yet!) - but we're putting steps in place to make sure we're close.

We are addressing these issues which is why we are now in a position to reply directly to users on HUKD.

Hey, why don't you pick on one member from the whole thread, and only one aspect of what he said, 2 months later.
How about instead of coming on a public forum to have a go at people you address the vast majority of complaints, answer your phones and emails, the person you quoted said he had emailed you 3 times and not one reply. Maybe if you got off your **** and engaged with customers instead of ignoring them you wouldn't have a thread full of complaints.
Presumably your glasses are so bad you can't actually read with them on, you say contact you, I'll bold this bit to make it easier for you, he has, as have many others on here with no reply.

For the record, we operate within the UK and all our glasses are glazed in our labs - situated in West Yorkshire.
We're surprised that you're judging us on the exterior view of our offices - perhaps we aught to judge you the same way for your choice of username?
Should you require any further help or clarification as to our operations, please feel free to contact us directly.
Kind regards.

I've been waiting 6 weeks for a pair of glasses, they emailed me to say that there was an offer on MSE and they had thousands of people buying glasses so there's a massive backlog.

Just an quick update. My second pair of glasses arrived 4 days after the first pair. It has taken 5 weeks from ordering to getting them and they have not responded to any emails or phone calls etc.
The glasses one pair of reading and a pair of bifocals are fine. The prescriptions seems correct and the glasses seem to be of decent quality.
Those who are waiting and worrying, I know it's easy to say now I've got mine, but maybe hold on as the vast majority seem to eventually get their glasses from this company and those who haven't ordered I would say if the deal is good and you know you're prepared to wait 6 weeks with no communication then they may be worth going for.

Shame they can't be as bothered to answer customers emails in order to avoid the negative reviews. We live and learn...

Had an email yesterday which claimed they'd been dispatched on Thursday (contrary to the tweet advising they were due to be posted on Wednesday). So long as they get here I'm not too bothered, but what is worrying is the reviews on TrustPilot that state they apparently appeal all negative reviews.

Bought a pair on 9 February, still no sign. Allegedly were due for dispatch yesterday but the only thing that updated on the tracker was 'In Lab' (after several weeks of no progress).
Getting to the point I think I might need to initiate a chargeback.
I bought a pair over xmas and wish I had followed my optician's advice "avoid buying glasses over the internet. Not only was the prescription wrong, but the frames were so flimsy that I've not worn them since. Best to get them checked out by an optician

Depends who you shop with. I've used lensway for a few years now and had no reason to complain about them. Got a pair of ray ban prescriptions from my local optician cost me about £220, could of bought the same ones from lensway for a good £100 less if id known. Anyway I bought a few pairs from lensway and they were superb quality for the price. my latest pair cost £9 and they have now taken the place of my ray bans they are so comfortable. So its swings and roundabouts really.

Used them a few times before and been very happy with the quality, price and delivery. The last pair I ordered from them were smaller than advertised and didn't fit so I emailed to complain. Even though they disagreed with my measurements there were no problems returning at all and was refunded in full (including return postage) within a few days.
Sorry though, but in terms of this deal it's poor. These same glasses have been on offer for well over 12 months around these prices, sometimes the glasses are more and the vouchers are less, sometimes the other way around.

Recently purchased one pair of varifocals from these after losing faith in Tesco sales staff. Took 3-4 weeks which included sending a pair of specs to me to mark pupil centres which then had to be returned. I forgot to enter a 15% code I when ordering so e mailed them, no reply other than to say discount refunded. Thoroughly impressed with prescription Bench varifocals at a delivered price of 85 ish quid.

A similar Bench deal was posted in Jan. I bought a pair. They took ages to arrive and didn't respond to my emails chasing delivery, I too believe these are made in China. When they came they looked fine but the nose rests were sharp and cut into my nose like they were not finished properly. I emailed them and got a one line 'send them back and we will re make them', no mention of my postage costs and I didn't want to wait again.
I did a Trustpilot review. They reported it as against the Trustpilot terms and I went through verification and Trustpilot republished my review. Only then did someone call me and tried to 'emotionally blackmail' me into removing my review as it was hurting their business. So after not responding to my emails re delivery, sending out poorly finished goods that I had to pay to return if I wanted to and then not contacting me about my Trustpilot review but instead referring it to Trustpilot as a fake review I told them I would leave the review as it stood. A poor customer service experience and I would not recommend.

Would advise against shopping here. I bought a year ago and they were great. I attempted to buy 4 weeks ago. It took them 4 weeks to deliver one of my two pairs of glasses. The phone number is premium rate and they ignore emails. I'm still waiting to try and get a refund through for the glasses that they haven't delivered. I know others are having the same problems with them

Bought some recently. Two pairs, one pair arrived after about 4 weeks, the other pair didn't arrive at all. Tried to email them, but on three occasions have had no reply. Worst customer service immaginable. Really dissapointed as I'd heard so many good things about them in the past.
Can't help thinking that the 4 week wait might be related to out sourcing to China or something? Then the glasses get shipped from China to Leeds then posted out in this country? I could be totally wrong, but it would explain the massive delay in them arriving. Also their 'factory' in the UK appears to be a small office above 'Greedy's Sandwich Bar'...
