I'm new to leasing. I know servicing and stuff has to be done via main dealership. But what about dents or scratches? Can I find somewhere to do it myself or again through the dealership?

Do it properly and no one knows!

You obviously don't know then. Servicing or anything doesn't have the be through the main dealer. Along as the car is serviced at its usual intervals by a VAT registered garage, service book is stamped and genuine parts are used you can have your pick of where to go..

Beware of resale values if you are planning to buy, Seat & Skoda resale values have suffered more than Volkswagen after the recent emissions scandal. I always look at the resale value first, just in case I don't like the car and have to change it again.

Sport coupe is just their name for the 3 door version.

Shame it's a 1.0! And the mileage is barely enough for me to do my weekly food shop, never mind getting to work and travelling miles to see family a few times a year - cold!

You live 80 miles from the nearest supermarket?

This lease deal comes in free red unless you pay extra, the photo up top isn't even the correct spec.

You are correct when it comes to warranty preservation. However as you won't be the owner of the car and anything you do to affect resale value can be billed at the end of term.
Best to have confirmation in writing from the leasing company.
BTW regarding servicing at other garages, I've always been able to get them to price match local outfits with the added benefit of better resale, software updates and increased chance of goodwill for non warranty work.

My current car will only need the one service it has had and I was smart enough to get written confirmation from the lease company on which garage to use. Was worded so they had the choice to tell me they wanted the main dealership or independent garage. Will depend on the company and their current rules at the end of the day. Also then don't have the resell or non warranty repairs to worry about either as you do.(have maintenance included) Its all down to preference at the end of the day. Id rather give the local family run garage than my local dealership the money. I even ordered my car from a dealership over 500 miles away because I despise the local one. :smirk:

More than the UK average? I don't know anyone that does less than 11000 in year.

I do and use my car most days as my commutes is only 10 miles

For me and many other 10 miles is just warming the car up, depends on location and willingness to travel for a decent job but I can quite easily do 25000 miles a year. These deals dont do much for me personally as 8000 miles is a drop in the ocean.

Although it's still a lame deal as I've pointed out above.
