Well i used to think like you when i was a teenager as i always used to buy the fastest card, hard drive ,CPU ,memory and more besides yet over the years experience taught me that a few speed digits higher or lower really makes no difference for every day use.
I have been using Ultra SanDisk CF cards for more than 8+ years with so many cameras i have owned i have forgeten all there names.
Plus i have been using SanDisk Micro SD cards in my phones and tablets for over 5+ years and all my cards wrote 1080P and 4k without a hitch.
Hopefully you will let the cat out of the bag and share your secret on buying a faster 32GB card from a reputable manufacturer for under £6.50 and IF you can i will buy you 1 for free as well as myself.
Now i cant be more generous than that chappy so you have a good incentive to deliver the goods.
P.S the deal is over on Amazon now

Im perfectly calm but i back up my statements which your incapable of doing .For the majority of people a ultra card will do the job for a low price and IF you need a faster card then you will have to spend more.
Anyway i now have to check up on some of my friends as i used to live in Brussels as the metro and airport just got bombed.

Nice random pic of some retro tiny-sensor cameras, what's that all about?
Anyway, I said nothing about the price, I said 'Ultra' isn't a fast card, which is isn't. The 'Extreme' card writes at 4 times faster than the Ultra, and is only 50% more expensive. (£8 vs £12, usual prices).
There is no reason to be buying Sandisk Ultra cards for high-speed uses, they are completely average, as I said in my original post. Ultra are nowhere near fast enough for my camera(s), which record 180MB+ (1440mbps) in a second when shooting burst photos; that would take 15 seconds (at best) for an Ultra to write *actually it would be more like 30 seconds when in the device).
I'd rather pay the extra 50% and have four times the performance when writing.

If you search for reviews these 32Gig card seem to have a nasty habit of becoming unreadable. I've just had to send mine back after a year of use as it was just being constantly reported as "unexpectedly removed" from my phone. Sandisk have a greed to replace it and have sent a UPS man out to pick it up from me (at their expense) and deliver it to their service department in Brno in the Czech Republic! 10/10 for customer service but seems over kill for £6.50 card that probably only costs them a £1 to make !

I'd argue that you are looking at the compressed bitrate, and therefore talking about 2 different things. Please take a selfie video of your hedgehog self as proof in 1080p and 4k so I can compare.
Waiting on the Samsung evo plus to come down in price for my G4, barely got any room left on the internal storage.

Well that should tell you your phone is not recording much detail at 4K. I just looked it up, it's only doing 30mbps at 4K. My Sony compact camera from 2011 does 28mbps at 1080p.
My advice is stop the 4k, you have a tiny lens and sensor, all you're doing is wasting the battery and heating the phone up.
My good deed is done for the day.
Here endeth the lesson.

its the write speeds that really matter on these things .. anyone can do a cheap fast read card .. fast read/write costs a lot more ...
I just wish people would quote the read AND write speeds b4 calling a card "fast"

Yes im sure it is ,although my LG G4 shooting 4K with one of these 128GB cards seems to say otherwise (+ NVIDIA sheild tablet+Nvidia shield TV) .Maybe you have a 8K £10000 camera you tried to use one of these on or maybe not. There more than fast enough for the average person chappy,if you need professional level speeds then pay a lot more.
