This got very hot last week, and was available on Amazon and Argos for £29.99. Then the price went up to £45+ on both.
Anyhow now back to £29.99 at Argos only (I have commented on previous post which is currently 'frozen' and links to Amazon).
Anyhow, after my new Moto X Play killed my previously perfect Samsung 64gb SD card (trying that Format as internal memory thing) I found these back reduced and seems plenty of stock.
Anyhow seems fine so far. I am definitely not a fan of Sandisk cards previously, but will give this a go. Been working fine for a couple of hours...
I will see if Sandisk works better in a Moto than in my Samsung devices...

have you tried loading the "broken" sd card in Minitool Partition Wizard? quite often using formats like ext3 & ext4 causes Windows to not recognise the drive at all. most of the time Minitool will. quick format and sd card is good as new

Doubt it.
As others confirmed, this cards work fine and fast enough for GoPro 4.
I was saying if you only want cards from the list, they will work with GoPro 4 as they are all very fast cards, but you have to pay more for them.
I use Sandisk extreme, not extreme plus, I use in other equipments, I do not own GoPro 4.

missed it! well my £30 argos vouchers need to wait until next price drop :disappointed:
If store movies, no difference. same write, 40MB/s read is already fast enough.

I know that, I asked in the real world is there gonna be an actual difference that is noticeable. Will only be used for storing movies.

The 80MB/s in the description is referring to read, not write.
Not many cards actively disclose information about write speed.

What are the write speeds on these? I got the integral from my memory at £23 a week or two. That is 25mb/s which is JUST about acceptable in my Macbook

Crystal Diskmark is giving me 78MB/Sec Read and 23MB/Sec Write.

You might consider U3 cards, they are 2 to 3 times faster in write than this card, they are 50% or more in price.

How would this compare in the real world to a Samsung Evo(not +) 128gb in a S7E? Picked up the Sammy for £25 not sure if it's worth returning to get this as I think the speeds are higher?

This is better.
Samsung Evo 20/43
Sandisk Ultra 80MB/s version 20/82 write/read
Samsung Evo Plus is slightly better than both at 24/75, I picked up a Evo+ 128GB at Christmas for around £30 from amazon.

Someone else test result was 20/82, similar.

These say 80mb speed but barely achieve 30 to 40.

Sequential read can achieve 80MB/s if your equipment does not limit it.
I have only see U3 card achieve 80MB/s write, there is simply not a single one U1 card can achieve 80MB/s write.

Glad folk got the cheaper price again, I notice Argos often this this with good deals up fo a week, then back to higher price, then back to the cheaper one the following Wednesday. This is especially the case on electronics, etc.
Anyhow, nice to be top of the page for St Patrick's Day.
Top Of The Evening to ya.

Is integral's 128gb micro SD as good or better? I see similar read speeds but no write speeds so hopefully someone checked them.

The first Integral linked here has no write speed written. The second one has a "claimed" write speed of 25MB/s. The fact the first one they don't mention it leads me to believe it is lower than 25MB/s
Then there is the Sandisk which people here have said does hit 25MB/s. I'd go with Sandisk for the 10 year warranty vs 5 years with Integral. I always give my micro sd cards to family once I move on from them so a longer warranty is a nice bonus.

Any chance anyone has a spare reservation code for Hull?
Not only those cards on the list will work with GoPro Hero 4.
Those on the list are typical the high end, fast and expensive cards. Most of are U3. Ever for those few which are U1 they are above U3 minimum requirements.
They are above this card in speeds, but they are more expensive.
Siilver already confirmed that this card works with GoPro Hero 4.
Go with one of them on the list will be fine, you will need to pay more though.
I personally use Sandisk Extreme, but there is no way Sandisk Extreme 128GB is at £30.
Got one months ago £39.99 at Argos at the time works a treat in the Linx 810 leather edition even though they say upto 64GB just having a problem with loading apps from the micro sd but its an issue I'm having with all storage not just these micro sd on windows 10.

Cheers I will have a look.
When I tried the Samsung it did flash up a warning on the Moto X that the card might be too slow, etc, to work well as internal, but seemed to work, then kept 'losing the card' then I reformatted it as external again, then it started messing up again, then it finally seemed to kill it all together.
I can report the Sandisk flashed up no such issues, but I have decided to keep it as external as Google Movies and Music can't be moved to it if changed to internal, which seems a bit daft. Hopefully next updates will sort this.
