Also at Staples, seems a good price for a cheap to run laser printer. Includes a 500 page (@5%) starter toner cartridge. 3rd party toner with a capacity of around 1000 pages can be found on ebay for only £15.

These are sweet if you can get the cartridges and toner refills. A cartridge can be refilled a couple of times.
I've had my Samsung 13 years, and it's been in constant use pretty much.
The only thing I don't like about mine is the paper comes out slightly curled at the top. Not sure if that's been improved since then.

Ricoh laser printers, dare I say it, are better value. Had one for 6 months and had no problems + still on the starter cartridge. Paid £35, same as this, for multi function + fax. Toner refills are around £15.
Can get one for £30 with no fax, but has a scanner copier, which is still better value than this.

When I last checked the Ricoh printer models on here, the full cartridges were WAY more expensive. By toner refill, you mean a bottle of toner? Or a cartridge complete? Bottled toner is OK, but at some point the cartridge will fail and that's when you see the full cost of your printer choice.

I share mine by connecting it to a NAS drive , whose USB ports have network printer function. I've also has it connected via my ASUS ADSL bridge in the same way (other side of the room!). Just a thought for others to consider. It's a great little printer. Toner refil was about £8 from fleebay.

If someone is just getting another printer, they will already have one. If not, a 5m cable is only £1.99 on ebay:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5m-USB-Cable-Printer-Lead-A-TO-B-Male-High-Speed-2-0-Epson-Kodak-HP-LONG-/400466022477?hash=item5d3da2904d:g:0dcAAOSwxH1UK~8k

Agree totally, printing straight from iPad is so convenient and no swapping cables between laptop and desktop. Good print quality and speed, buy!
