John Lewis have dropped price since this morning. Still an extra years guarantee and Richer Sounds are an excellent store to deal with (just like JL).

They have 4k screens on 13.3" laptop screens.
So I think it will be fine on a 40" TV.

Doesn't get very good reviews. I think you need to pay a lot more to get a decent UHD TV. HD TVs at this price point have a much better picture.

Wouldn't touch an LED with a barge pole. Had a 55" JU6800 with terrible backlight bleed and banding. Got rid of it and purchased an LG OLED and best thing I've ever purchased. Even without 4K the picture quality is stunning.

I've got this TV and I'm running it on Windows 10 at full 4K @ 60Hz (3840 x 2160). All of the 4 HDMI ports are definitely HDMI 2.0.

Both of which you usually use less than 2 feet away from your eyes. Just sayin'....
whilst i agree its overkill on a smartphone. I've had 27" monitors at half the resolution which are noticeably better. If you cant appreciate 4K on screens below 50" then you probably need to go to an opticians.
