This is from mobiles.co.uk, seems a decent deal for a brand new top of the range phone. All in costs a little over £30 a month for 2 years by the time you factor in the upfront cost. Topcashback offering £42 cashback at the moment on all new contracts. So for £24.99 you get 1000mins, unlimited texts and 2gb data, that is worth about £14.99 a month, I know you can get £100 amazon vouchers on a 12 month deal with ee.
To find the deal you have to select monthly cost between £15 and £25

I use Wi-fi most places - home, work, store, restaurants etc and find 1gb has done me well for the past 4 years. Obviously, this is not for everyone, but seems a good deal on the "best" Android phone (according to a review I read this morning) if you mostly use Wi-fi for data.

Whenever you challenge someone who says '2 gb is not enough' they never come back and explain why their usage is so high. 2gb should be plenty if you have home broadband, unless you're streaming movies every other day when you're out and about - but if that's the case why not just download them to your phone at home first?

I have ended up buying the LG G5 through EE. Also EE only allow you to unlock their phones 6months after the contract has started.
They explained that it will come with a temp number and we will just have to call them up and provide them with the PAC code from current provider and it will transfer over

I've found a different deal on the site (Edge S7 for £31 a month, so have gone with that), but I have the same PAC situation. My understanding is that the phone they send you has a temporary number (which you can keep if you like) but if you want to use a PAC then you contact the provider (O2 in my case, EE in yours) and they'll swap it over.
On your order page on the Mobiles.co.uk site, there's an option to edit the number once you've used your PAC code. This will tell them that you've changed the number.

These days, 2 gig is probably more than enough if you have home wifi.
My current contract has 5 gigs monthly, but I've found I rarely go over one. And haven't gone over two apart from in the first month when I absolutely hammered the usage (and my home wifi was playing up).
Very tempted by this. My contract expires in a couple of weeks. If only EE didn't have such a pants signal where I live...

I commented because this is a deal site and thought this is a hot deal. And it is very hot and my comment attracted a lot of likes.
As I said, this is not a deal for everyone. So, if you're a heavy data user, this is not for you. There have been a lot of "I use absolutely loads of gigs of data" interesting (not) comments. At the end of your contract, you can switch to any network you choose. During your contract, you can use a local SIM for cheaper calls and data when travelling abroad. You can also swap between SIMs if you want to (for example, if you run out of data, it might be cheaper to use a GiffGaff SIM for data for periods of time, although calls to your regular number would go to voicemail until you put the EE SIM back in).

2GB per month might be enough if all you want to do is play games and browse. I travel for work and hotel wifi is more often than not shocking, so I want to tether my phone to my laptop and watch Sky Go. Furthermore I like to stream the Cricket or the football when I am in the pub and the free wifi is insufficient for this purpose. I don't need 20GB every month, but I need 20GB to be available because sometimes I nail through that in 3 days.

I think the 2gb argument is arbitrary because we all lead different lifestyles. I have great Wifi at home. I drive to work so can't use my phone anyway. I have great Wifi at work. You could challenge me and ask why my usage is so high but to be honest I wouldn't know. I have wi-fi at home but not at work and depending on weekends away my data usage can fluctuate from a low of about 6GB if I don't go anywhere and tens of gigabytes if I'm away for a few days. I used to be on the 3 unlimited plan but moved to the Vodafone 20GB offer when 3 tried to double the price on me. I'll probably bump into the limit a handful of times a year but I guess now I have a limit I'll start being more aware about my data usage.

Yep I don't understand how some can say they don't understand why someone needs more than 2GB over 30 days? Certainly won't say the deal is cold because of 2GB but 4GB in my eyes is the comfortable sweet spot.
Sometimes I like to watch a YouTube video on the fly when I'm sitting on the bus for a long time.
Sometimes I want to listen to a new album on Spotify whilst travelling on the overground.
Sometimes when I'm in the park with my friends I want to be able use my data without worry, especially if I'm showing them funny things on Instagram, Snapchat etc.
Sometimes when I'm on a long car journey I want to be able to browse freely. Perhaps watch a movie on Netflix. I don't want to have to remember to download stuff and store it before I leave.

The supplier - irrelevant, sim free stock from samsung, all service related questions to network and get repairs at carphone stores.
The carrier - fastest 4g network overall, none are perfect but return/don't buy if you have poor coverage
Small screen - compared to what? I think it's an ideal size, if you want a bigger or smaller phone buy something else.
No removable battery - name a mainstream current flagship phone that does have one. G5 would be closest but it isn't even out yet.
Slow OS updates from Samsung - Not really 6.01, on the S6 now
Price - is about £1 a day, it's worth that to me. There are cheaper alternatives for those who don't value a phone as much
thermomonkey
15 Mar 161#36
It would be useful if you could provide a link to a better deal then if price is an issue. I can't see a better deal around? Or maybe a link to a similar spec phone for cheaper?
I am not sure all of those levels are reasons to vote cold. I do like this community as there are often useful comments on these threads with why certain items aren't great, or why you can get an alternative for cheaper etc. I have purchased many items on reccommendations from informed people on such threads. Everyone I know with a high data plan has high usage of, specifically, instagram, snapchat and youtube. If you don't use these much or aren't glued to your phone when you're out and about then 2GB is fine.
