Great monitor for the money that Turkey; I nearly went for a couple but I see the stand is fixed i.e. not wall mountable - a deal-breaker for me sadly.

It's PLS
"PLS was introduced by Samsung at the end of 2010 and designed to compete with LG.Display's long-established and very popular IPS technology. It is an IPS-type technology and for all intents and purposes can be considered IPS, just being manufactured by another company. Samsung claimed they had reduced production costs compared with IPS by about 15% and so were making a play at the market of IPS panels when it was launched. At the time it was also being dubbed "S-PLS" (Super-PLS) but that name seemed to be dropped quite quickly in favour of just "PLS". It wasn't until mid 2011 that the first PLS displays started to appear, fittingly they were manufactured by Samsung themselves. I hope not, this is the monitor i bought. But mine has a card slot on the side. unless they updated the model to remove vesa mount? Ill dounble checm when i get home today.
You've purchased a different model to this; yours is the TV equivalent - this is purely a monitor. In Currys specs it does state that yours has a 75mm x 75mm VESA mount so you'll be fine.

In what sense? Any screen can be used for gaming. Depends if you want a low response time or a nicer looking image? This is the latter. You wouldn't catch pro fps gamers using it but it's fine for the rest of us

Been looking at a HP 24xw for £50 more. But the lack of audio out jack could be an issue if usage changes.
I take it this is matte screen instead of glossy? I prefer glossy myself, and it seems easier to clean.
Edit: Seems this Samsung doesn't have audio jack either. Circle I thought was jack is a screw hole.

I got one of these on a deal a while back, it's a brilliant monitor, excellent viewing angles and picture, and it also looks a lot more expensive than the price would suggest.

I ordered 22 last year for office around £80 each, the black version.
Great monitor, good screen. And looks good too.
Touch button, looks good but physical buttons work better.
The only complaint I have is the stand is not stable, and difficult to screw them in in the first place.
