I had the previous version of this kettle. It broke after many years of service so thought I'd get the same one again, that was a little under a month ago now and.. this afternoon, it was leaking pretty bad from the base.
Quite disappointed with it.
Right from the outside this newer model looks quite the same as the previous but it's much lighter, the plastic on the handle is a little different, the lid isn't as good and the flip switch feels like it can snap if used too hard.
Anyway, this will be another going back to in the morning for a refund, so there will probably be another in stock again in a few days. Sorry guys.

Go for one of the temperature controlled ones from Aldi instead - you can order them online now and they last far longer than these
