Just because it's 'cheap' doesn't mean it's not going to do the job...I bought a 'cheap' mitre saw from B&Q a few years' ago; didn't think it would be particularly great. However, it far exceeded my expectations and when my builder's own mitre saw broke and he needed one quickly, he used my 'cheap' one. Liked it so much, he went out and bought one next day. It was a quarter of the price of some well-known makes, but equally as good, if not better, he reckoned. I'm going to take a punt on this and make my mind up when I've used it, rather than assume it's no good before I've even bought it. Thanks for the post.

Tool kit for £10 looks like a reasonable starter set:
OK some can be had from the pound shops, but totting them up I reckon about £12 to £14 without the bag, so good VFM
Edit: Free delivery too, but adds P&P if you include non free delivery items

Both sets have just arrived, not had a chance to try them out but as above seem very good value for the money. To be honest I've bought them to be disposable, have a fairly big job to do so I'll use and abuse them, and then whatevers knackered can be chucked at the end.

In which case, why don't you buy your own tools then? How can you be snobby about someone else's tools when you can't be bothered to purchase your own?

Least it would have the desired effect and they would never ask to borrow a tool again

I can see these being very handy if you don't want to lend out your prized Trend T3, Makita 18V, or Bosch barrel jigsaw to neighbours, family and friends who think you're a free tool shop and would otherwise be offended.

1 clamp!??? :O
Anyway as much as both this £10 kit and the main one heading the deal for £29.99 is not a bad deal value wise, I cant help feeling that it does not really make sense as a deal (the router, jig and drill deal).
I mean, not only will the router bits cost you another few quid (and drill bits and jig blades, but these are relatively cheap), but if your serious enough to be using a router would you not have / be interested in better tools?
I mean not many amateurs have a use for a router I dont think!??? Hell I am an avid builder of things and my router comes out rarely... Unless doing cabinets or kitchens - how many people doing this are making them? (And you will really want a better drill for a kitchen! )
Voted hot as good value for what they are - and useful to potentially re-purpose / use the motors for something... but these are gonna be crap :-/

The Router is £29.99 on its own and no free delivery.
The router is sold separately at £29.99, so the set is a bargain, but note reviews state that the chuck is a non standard size. But for £10 per tool, it's a bargain even for one job!

Also they are doing the rotary tool and a decent set of bits for £15, usually cost £20 to £25 from other retailers
Decent Revoo ratings, just the accessories would cost around £10 for a comparable Silverline set
Again it's free delivery, but adds P&P if you include non free delivery items

Am I the only one who thought " £29.99 , that's a bargain" went to buy it and then the bill came to £41.49 with £11.50 added for delivery and thought .........." yeah right, don't like being sent on a 'fools errand' and have my time wasted like this, so ebuyer, I'll give you a swerve in the future...... GOODNIGHT "

This is a fantastic buy, excellent starter pack or as a spare. Ideal opportunity for those that have never used a jigsaw or router to get their skills honed, practice on scrap wood and persevere with the router, one tip, keep a firm grip. Heat from me.
