If you have a PS4 you might want to wait for the re-release in Autumn... Whilst the gameplay of the PS3 version is still as good as it ever was, the graphic upscale was disappointing. It's basically an up-res job, and the textures suffer massively because of it (the leaves on the floor in the first area - ouch). Hopefully the PS4/XBO versions will get some mild re-texturing.

Its getting a remaster for PS4 so i'd hold off. I'll be buying the physical PS4 version of Resident evil 4 for PS4 as its my favorite game of all time.

Individual downloads. Played some Resi 2 last night and works fine

Thanks dude. I had a quick look on the interwebs, and it appears that there's long been confusion about Resident Evil 2's compatibility with the Vita. I believe the 1-3 Collection and 2 used to appear on the native store, but were subsequently removed. Utterly baffling.
Can I ask, do they appear as individual downloads on your Vita, or do you have to install them all in one go? Space is tight on my memory card, and **** paying £65 for a 64GB replacement (another area where Sony dropped the ball).

I had the same problem on my Vita. I used the Playstation App on my phone to buy them from the store, then went back to my Vita and they all appeared in my download list.

Bought Resi 1-3 for my Vita. Been about 6 years since I last went through them. Looking forward to the 2 remake and the ports of 4, 5, and 6 on PS4

Resi 4!!!! Completed on my GameCube so this would be cool to do again. Not so fussed about the first 3 as the graphics remain like ps1
Hot deal - great find

Don't forget they are making RE4 for PS4 later this year:
Resi 3 is probably my favourite of them all. Plays really nicely on the Vita! I really hope they give it the remake treatment some day.

^ What he said. If you navigate to the Deals & Offers section of the UK store (on your browser), it says 0 matches found. ZERO MATCHES.
Similarly, just fired up my Vita, and the Resident Evil 20th Anniversary section has two games in it (RE Director's Cut and Nemesis). Seriously.
It's **** like this that makes me happy to buy from PSN Canada.

Well fully expect the Resi 2 remake to sell like hotcakes, and knowing Capcom they will follow it with Resi 3 remake too. Probably won't surface for a couple of years though.

78p each on Canadian PSN. And yes once purchased with Canadian PSN you can make primary and never have to use the Canadian account again.
Example comparison: Resi 0 (PS4) - £12.99 on UK site; ~£8.45 on Canadian site.
That post also has a link in the comments for how to buy games off the Canadian store (it's easy).

Has a game ever been ported more than Resi 4? This will be the third generation it's come to. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but Jesus...

Right I've never played a Resident Evil game but I'm going to buy 4 as it is meant to be amazing.
Which are the main games in the series and do they all have trophy support??

Resi 0, Resi 1 remasters, Resi 4, 5 & 6 all have trophy support.
Resi 2 and Resi 3 are PSone classics so have no trophies (they are essentially emulated PS1 games - no new features) but really are still a lot of fun - the version of Resi2 on PSN is the USA version which has rookie mode which allows you to wizz through the game with a machine gun, good blast of fun.

The remake of the original and 4 are the best but they're so radically different that they're basically only linked in visuals and (very tenuously) in plot.

Cheers, I'll buy RE 4 for PS3 and then get RE origins collection on PS4 which I think has 0 and 1 yeah. Cool.

I might wait as I have a massive back catalogue (Street Fighter V, Dark Soul's 3 & Uncharted 4 are going to consume my life), but £5 isn't much (& I get ridiculous cheap PSN credit), so may get it anyway.

I honestly think it's one of my favourite games of all time. Perfectly paced, full of content, great controls & hilarious. I've finished it at least 6 times.

Any idea how download this for vita? Can't see it in the psn store accessed via the console
RebTheRebel to AshDatsun
2 Mar 161#24
Buy it via the website store and then go to your downloads list on your Vita, it should appear in there ready to download. The Vita/PSTV store is a f**king mess Tbh, Sony are a let down on that part. Either support the store properly or stop selling the hardware they clearly aren't arsed supporting. As a Sony fanboy it annoys me having to say that too.

Assuming you've bought it you have two options. Either go to the game's store page (I assume this isn't working for you), or there should be a little bubble with three dots in the bottom right hand corner iir, tap on that and you should be able to access your download list and find the game you want to download there.

As in the voice of Gex? Did they use different voice actors for the PAL and NTSC releases then?
ahh I see thanks for that, I remember playing an American version years ago n the gameplay was different, either added or reduced features

2 Mar 16#8
Why are they selling US version on UK store? Not that it matters cause theres no trophy support!!
VonKlaw to UltimatePhoenix
2 Mar 16#9
PSN digital versions of games tend to only have one version per language available - it's why the PSN version of the GEX games has the annoying American voice too.

directors cut is only version on psn and that's what you get in the bundle. it's the same game except it has a hard mode that moves all item locations and switches order of puzzles and makes enemies harder

The director's cut of Resident Evil is on sale separately but I don't see the original. Can anyone confirm which version is in this bundle?
