Got a set of these from Lidl about 6-7 years ago and still working great. Well worth the money. They lock in automatically.

Pick one up before buying as the weight kills it as a general purpose ladder. Far too heavy to lug around and actually very awkward to carry folded. It also takes a surprising amount of space to unfold : You probably won't have room to do it on the landing to get into the loft for example.

you miss the point of these ladders, they fold down to store / transport in a car boot / under stairs cupboard ect. you erect / unfold them into ( A ) frame and close it to a ( I ) frame to move them around from place to place ( put arm shoulder through ladder to lift and carry walk with them, then stand to the side of ladders and pull apart until they lock back to a (A) frame to climb up, 15 kg in this position is not heavy, when ladders are fully folded up i move them on a dolly board with tool boxes on top.

Manufactured in heavy gauge aluminium to European quality and safety standard (EN131). The 4x3 Ladder has a max length of 336cm x 33.5cm wide and weighs 14kg. The 4x4 ladder measures 440cm x 33.5cm wide, weighs 17.6kg and folds down to just H107 x W37 x D30cm for easy storage. Both versions have a maximum load of 150kg.

Got what looks like the same ladder from Aldi and is very sturdy and has been great for general use around the home. Probably use it most as a folded over step ladder but still useful in it's longest mode although doesnt really get you to a 1st floor window.

loads of these multi types of ladders around, fold down fit into focus sized car with ease, most rated to EN 131 and 150kg single side use 1 person only. cannot see any description info on these ladders so i would look else where unless workload and rating is confirmed. used similar pair for years great ladders.
