Or 370 from local curry shop. Provided they have it stock. A 4k and excellent TN. purchased last week and much better than many 1440p ips due to very high ppi around 160ppi.

would much rather have 144hz refresh over the samsung's 60hz

Gotta have the graphics card to pair with the 4K monitor though. 1440p is much more achievable.

Good deal, I just can't bring myself to buy an Acer unless I expect it to break in 13 months.

Shame it's TN or I would of. Still good price.

It's a good TN panel though. I thought it would be a problem, but the screen was very good.

Right panel for the right job. TN is pretty terrible if you are doing design work and need accurate colours etc, but for gaming they are ideal with low latencies and high refresh rates. I wouldn't ditch my TN

Teamed up with a r9 390, it's a very compelling gaming setup.

I much prefer IPS gaming monitors. I might look into those new IPS gaming monitors that has the best parts from TN and IPS all rolled in.

A super IPS type panel is best if you are not into gaming in a a big way. But a good TN (like this) with video card sync is still unbeatable for responsiveness and smoothness in games. The video card syncing is also a key feature for gaming many might live without, but if you are a gamer and have used the technology you cannot go back.

I have this myself with an r9 290, good cheap gaming setup. Must confess though there is very little I can run at 144fps to match the hertz but thanks to freesync whatever 50-100ish fps I get is very smooth with no screen tearing. Only downside of this monitor is the lack of a vesa mount. I have it paired with a 24" ips and there is very little difference in terms of the colour reproduction even though it is a tn panel.
