If Sega want money for a remaster they should do it with Skies of Arcadia, amazing game! Glad I bought a Dreamcast just cause of that game, and still sold it for £50 years later

Decent price, superb game! It's a bit of a shame that we don't get the SteelBook, but this is still *very* much worth picking up if you've not played the game before (and arguably, even if you have!).

Has it been confirmed no steelbook for uk?

Pretty sure this is what it is retailing for as 365 games have it listed at £17.99 so better off waiting for other stores to list it to determine a deal.
I wish they included the second game. still buying anyway

We might get 2 & 3 digitally or something if this does well.

Not sure what a remaster does for this game in terms of graphics - although that doesn't really matter for this game as it'll still look superb. Had this on the PS3 and was definitely one of my favourite games.
Glad people who haven't already on the PS3 will have the pleasure of playing it on the PS4. Totally worth buying.

This might be a big bargain since the special Europa edition is the only one being made by SEGA for pre-orders a d first editions.
The 60fps and higher res should be nice.
I'll be buying eventhough I have and completed it on ps3; there'll be trophies on this one too.

The remaster is 1080p 60fps with added aa and all that jazz and also includes all DLC etc

I didn't realise that all first-print copies were the Europa Edition, that's even more awesome.

I'll happily take any excuse to play this game again.

is any retailer selling Europa edition?

The first print run is only the Europa, we're being led to believe.
When this was announced as $30 I was expecting £25, so this is great. I'll be using my £5.50 reward points from 365games, £12.49 bargain.

Amazon have a listing but 'currently unavailable'. Gonna wait a bit for the best deal, but certainly a cracking price already!

Isn't this the same as the PC version?
If so that's £3.74 on Steam at the mo...

Wouldn't have thought that would include the extras such as DLC though?
Graphically they will be about the same I would think as a lot of so called 'remasters' barely seem to do anything to the graphics e.g. Resident Evil and even more so Grim Fandango....

Not quite. If you look at the shots released so far, it's yet another PS4 game without anisotropic filtering.
The Steam version doesn't require a monster PC, any old ~750Ti system will outperform the PS4 reissue while displaying nice, crisp textures - and it's a fifth of the price to boot, £3.74 straight from the Steam store today.
Nice to see the PS4's catalogue expand for those without anything else, of course.

Why release a new game when you can keep selling the same old game on every platform? I have it on the ps3 and steam and it didn't prompt them to release the new games on a decent format.

Just looked.
It does indeed include all previously released DLC!
Think I'll be grabbing this on PC then.
Have a PS4 and love that as well, but not enough to pay an extra £14 for this...

Yeah, I have the PC one, was hoping the PS4 release might have had enough new content to justify it through the DLC but it sounds like it will be all but identical. Think I will have to cancel it.
I have it on PS3 as well though I take it the PC version is the best one to play? Did the PS3 one predate trophy support as I see people saying it will be the first time the game gets trophies?

12 Mar 16#30
Yeah the PS3 version didn't have trophies
varsas
12 Mar 16#31
Yes the PS3 version was released before trophies and they didn't add support later; some games did.
If you have the PC to run it then that's definitely cheaper but this is a special edition if Sega Europe are to be believed about all first prints so it'll have other bits for fans like the art book and a3 poster.

I think I'm the only one in the Universe not to rate this game very highly: had a good start but then the hardware limitations of the original console iteration really started to make themselves felt in the tiny maps. And the characters started to grate ("but I'm a pacifist!") LOL
Still got to the end (though it was more work than play IMO) on the PC version, worth a shot at Steam sale price...

If you pre-order, do Shopto take cash now or on release?
