Erm, yeah you do get all sky movie channels , on demand and live.

hot.....I have several new boxes it has been cheaper to buy the complete unit. considering sky manufacture these boxes, it's cheaper for me to watch sky movies on this than through sky itself...crazy. download the app onto your tablet and then cast it onto smart or adapted TV. ..brilliant system. you can download apps on the system itself and watch YouTube etc on a non smart TV.

If you can put plex on this , what does that give you ?

Are these the most recent boxes, that are customisable?

Is this better than the white nowtv box? i mainly use it for iplayer etc but find it very laggy

When the pass runs out are all the channels disabled or can you still watch catch-up Freeview TV?

They sell access to Sky's 'live' media :confused:. My mate has it done for 3PM Saturday kick-offs because the FA punish those that pay most to watch Premier League football whilst those outside of the UK get to view them.

There should be an onslaught of heat if this is the new boxes which easily shift on eBay for over a tenner (including postage), making a pass a couple of quid for a couple of months!

also you can sell the code in these box's for easy £8 on ebay making the box about £2-£3 after ebay fees, install plex and hook it up to a server and away you go.

When I tried to order through shopto.net it asked me for card details even for registration! so I decided not to go thru them. They do not even allow to pay through paypal without giving them card details. So anyone not comfortable to order through them can use the above mentioned route through AO.

Funny of all the apps on my white box BBC iPlayer is totally trash. Is this what we pay good old Auntie Beeb for with License money? Not surprised they come up with a player than needs me to exit the app pretty much every time to play the next episode in the series I'm watching.

Can you use this for Euro sport, hope to watch cycling?

FYI- to use the pass u will have to put ur card details and it will automatically renew.
You can't stop subscription from the settings on the Box - it has to be done on the website. Keep that in mind or if you forget then not worth it.

Just checking but the last box I added Plex too was a mk1 - is the setup process still the same?

I missed out last time, one ordered for series 6 of game of thrones.

Looks like I'm getting 2 :/ my order on credit card said it had failed so I put it through on PayPal, just checked my account and looks like it went through on both the credit card and PayPal. Only way of contacting them appears to be by phone mon-fri and it will have been dispatched by then.

For anyone else interested i just did this also, you have to call them up. Much more comfortable ordering with ao. You can choose delivery date, earliest delivery Tuesday.

I noticed that on their website but thought local stores may have stock.

I too changed my white now tv box with the black one i received, and the difference is quite noticeable. It responds very well and plex runs even better with no delays.
Glad I ordered the box and not just the pass (but the initial intention was to just get the pass:3).

Just for reference, if you're not interested in Plex then you can sideload a USB media player on the black nowtv boxes. Instructions HERE

Mp4's the preferred flavour for video, and nothing too fancy with the audio codec but has played most of my stuff :smile:

Just wondering how people's boxes were sealed when arrived, one of mine was sealed with the usuall now tv sticker (orange entertainment one) but the other only had a clear large circle seal, and on opening the scratch card voucher has some of the silver scratched off, not all of it but enough to see a digit or 2.

I have just applied a voucher so won't beable to see if the voucher works until 2 months time. I'm concerned it won't activate when I try too.

Anyone had any issues with theirs? Mine was fine, watch about an hour of TV on it then unplugged it. Just went to re-use it and the remote control is completely dead :neutral_face:

Mine is working fine. If you have the older box (white one), the remote from it is compatible.

You can always try and reset it if nothing works!

Think I sorted it, I was messing around with an SD card and I think that was causing it to hang. Removed it and everything was good :sunglasses:

Oh! I had it for three months and never found access to live sky movie channels. A shame as I had it over Christmas as well!
