Once purchased, don't forget to download TeslaUnread so you can get a little number in the corner of the GMail, SMS, Phone, WhatsApp, Viber etc. icons showing you how many unread/missed messages you have :-)
Extremely powerful and flexible launcher. Grab it now and liberate your Android!

Tesla is pretty handy. Of course, FaceBook seem to change their API and break the link to it constantly (god knows why. You'd think they'd ralise it would be a commonly used endpoint) but it's still nice to have.
And Nova is fantastic. Can configure your home screen(s) look and behaviour pretty much endlessly.

I am an old man in technology terms, what exactly does a launcher do to make my phone better (SU6) in small words if possible!
I have read the description and apart from the number for unread messages i have no idea what the rest means.

The home screen layout is changed and more customisable beyond your standard UI on the SU6.
Give the free one a try before jumping in and see if it interests you.
For instance I have been using Apex Launcher for years now (which is similar) and it's evened out the GUI on all the devices I've had since my HTC Sensation. (Inc N4 and HTC M8)
Some may say what's the point of that, but I love it. defo more settings can be tweaked from the screen swipe animation to the number of icons per column and row on your screen.

Basically it gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility to change and customise your home screen and application grid so you can choose icon themes, the layout of the icons (more icons, smaller icons etc.), the animations when you change between home screens etc.
I started with Nova when I bought a Samsung Note 4 which despite the large 5.7in screen comes with a small four by four icon layout which just wastes so much space. Also the Samsung launcher breaks if you change the DPI setting so I gave Nova a go and found it fantastic, I changed my icon grid to 6x6 and my app drawer to hold seven icons then a few other smaller cosmetic changes and gestures. Handily you can back it all up as well so when you restore the phone, you can restore your setup as well which is great as the normal Samsung backup/recovery doesn't do it.
Another advantage is that you can install the launcher on other Android devices and have the interface exactly the same.

doctor_vadgers to rhinopaul
2 Mar 16#79
You dont need root for Nova, and it offers far more customisation than any stock launcher from fonts to gesture input to theming to app drawer and homescreen icon grid size etc etc. Plus once you've got a setup that you're happy with it can be easily exported over to any droid you own or upgrade to in the future.

2 Mar 16#67
once u try nova prime it's hard to go back to normal launchers. I just wish they have easier theme support. ie being able to experiment or download new looks, then reverting back to ur original setup easily. also I'd like Shutters. however as is it still is 5* launcher
highlight the portal, go to shortcuts and there's a bookmark option there.
although id personally use the 'portal group' option, you can make one called say bookmarks, and then add all the bookmarks in there.
But each to their own I guess, I personally like uncluttered homescreens, all my bookmarks and the like are in the side bar in dolphin browser and synced to the laptop etc
but swipepad is quite a nifty little app to declutter but still have the convenience of easily accessible frequently used apps
Thats better
