I picked one earlier in Wood Green store. It came with no AC adapter or usb cable... So I couldnt test it much, but I hope it is not faulty.
Clerks at the store where surprised for the price, and I guess that if it is flagged faulty they would have told me, right?

Just spoke to GAME Warrington who show as low stock and the guy who answered hit me with some bull**** story that they had a few left but they are "faulty" after he went away and checked, not believing they would be 99.
Methinks he's keeping them for himself.

I was literally just about to ring them up. That's why every time I ring a place I confirm whether stock can be held for a customer before they arrive, normally preventing staff from withholding all stock. That 'damaged stock' sounds like nonsense though.

Went in to the Warrington store.
Told same as above - 1 faulty in stock which is going back this Sunday. Wouldn't divulge what was actually faulty on it other than "hardware".
No other bundles available for £49 either.

Tried the store checker... everything I tried was out of stock. The phone numbers for the local branches didn't work either.

Unlikely, they are either trying to shift stock they don't want anymore or, in the case of the 99p smash bundle, probably have literally none so it doesn't matter what the price says.

Game often change the prices of stuff that is out of stock to silly things like that.
Be aware that its says in small print below the 'check stock in store' that 'prices in game stores may differ'. I'm interested in whether they would respect that 99p price online.
