3DS XL screen is more bigger but I bought the standard size because the XL doesn't have changeable plates/cover and I think the smaller size may be more travel friendly and suited for smaller hands perhaps

This is the New 3DS XL as I got mine for my daughter from Tesco before Christmas when it was £150 & I used £50 in doubled Tesco clubcard vouchers against it. My daughter is 9 and she loves it.

My daughter is getting it for her 6th birthday as she loves Mario kart as well. I think there are words to read, but you can check out sample of the game on YouTube . It looks fun.
