I hate to say it but the Nspresso pods are the best for our taste. For th usually minuscule price difference I've yet to find anything as good, and I've tried most. Lidl if we can't get Nespresso are about half as good at little over half price but most of the others are near Nespresso prices. I've seen promotions in France where you get 80 capsules for €11 and I go for them.

We love our nespresso machine, the KRUPS one above is a very good make for the money, although it looks the same as the other lesser brands it is more robust.
The frother is a revelation!
We used our pod vouchers and have tried others since, here is my unbiased view:
LIDL, both lungo and ristretto are poor by comparison, neither having a nice aroma and tatse almost burnt, not worth the 17ppc
Nespresso, obviously the rolls royce but with postage can work out at 50ppc.
ASDA, cafe noire, both espresso and lungo very good, mid range at 28ppc but a good compramise so we tend to use these, also readily available.
Am trying Waitrose tomorrow so will update when we supped a few

Have you tried the pods from Costco? There are two types and I think they are £9.99 for 5 packs.
Also, Home Bargains do some pods for £1 a pack. They are OK to use as espresso not very strong though but if you try to make a long drink from them you get a burnt taste.

If your lava a frothier isn't working that well, verse the whisk. I made the same mistake had mine upside down. Also you have to take cover off the serrated bit.

What's the best way of knowing that the offer is on, here?

There's usually several deals posted. There's always a Christmas and Summer promotion. For instance, the deal posted here was posted for approx £80 at Amazon and Currys about 3 months ago which were eligible for £75 Nespresso Club Rewards Vouchers. Even better, the same deal for the orange machine was only £67 - wish I'd have bought this myself.
Worth waiting for if you're not desperate for a new machine now.

They come with a 3 year manufacturer's warranty, just show them a copy of the purchase receipt, you don't need to have a machine to register.

As you had to register the machine to get the vouchers, how did you get round this when you sold it on? Is there a way of de-registering so the new owner can get the warranty/join the Nespresso club?

Picking up the third £25 worth of capsules soon. With the free capsules the frother and Nespresso machine cost me less than a fiver net as I would have bought the capsules anyway. As we have 3 already my daughter was thrilled with her Christmas present.
Nespresso promotions are a great way to buy gifts on the cheap

I got the machine and aeroccino for £67 in November, sold the machine for £45 i think it was. So for £22 got £75 nespresso voucher and a free aeroccino...

Pointless? Well yes.... it doesn't even make coffee...oh...hang on.....
You'll likely get an even better deal around Christmas when they tend to do their coffee credit promotion. But I'd say, if your looking for a Nespresso machine and can't wait 9 months for a coffee then this is a great deal

I bought the Lavazza machine with frother in the recent deal for £34... milk frother is ok but milk is never that frothy

Cheers for the heads up, looking to buy one of these so will keep an eye out.
Are the promotions well advertised ?

Agree with JGav above. Pointless buying a Nespresso machine out of a promotion period. They run their credit/voucher deals at least twice a year for a couple of months.

For balance I'll share my experience; I've had mine nearly 4 years and it still works fine.

You'd be better off waiting for the next time they do their bundled vouchers. At Christmas you would have got £75 worth of vouchers to spend on coffee pods when you bought this. They will run it again.

What's been the problem - have they replaced it 4 times and each one has broken?

Good price considering you would pay £70 for the Aldi machine and frother.
