I've had a couple of Minky boards in the last few years, and I don't think they're much cop. The welds seem to go very quickly on the Iron holding end, and the cloth cover doesn't seem to last very long (My last one lasted 4 days before it tore at the edge and was returned to Wilkos). I'm using one atm as I've yet to actually find another brand thats any use though. (And my covers again torn at the edge).
I was brought up with a stupidly heavy wooden one with an asbestos plate on the end. Now they lasted a lifetime (although probably a short life time due to the Asbestos)

We have one ordered from Amazon, the first one came completely bent and the second one was a little better (build quality rather than shipping). Stuff the feet with packing to get it to balance. Overall would not recommend this board if you have any desire for quality.

Bought this from Argos for £40. Not impressed to be honest. Seems flimsy and metal is too thin. When ironing I can hear the metal warp like it has a dent.

exactly what happened with mine, albeit mine was Amazon warehouse deals. Also had the metal warping sound like a dent every time i ironed over a particular spot. Wouldnt' recommend Minky boards based on this. Dunno what to go for next. Currently on my old broken one which wobbles a bit, but at least it was only £5 10 years ago!

I think Amazon are used to it now, they didnt even want the second board back when I tried to return it. So I then discovered the stuffed feet work around

I Ian shocked to read comments from people saying they have had more than one board. I have had mine for 30 years now. Good old Woolworths eh?

Home delivery is £3 regardless of value of order it seems, even over £30. It's free C&C £30 and over I believe. Managed to grab one of these and the £9.50 irons. Cheers OP
