Lack of apps and the Internet browser was shocking on the 640 I got my wife. Wouldn't touch a windows phone again. A bit disappointed as they're often a bargain.

Quite fancy a Windows phone to play about with? I take it this is locked? If so, is it easy to unlock?
Thanks OP, I've got some Clubcard points to up!

the concept behind windows phone is great but boy I wish they really give more incentives to the developers to make more apps on this platform. I eventually gave up using my windows phone because of the VERY limited choice of apps on windows phone. however, great price especially when you can profit from cex. HOT from me!

Spotify has just confirmed it will no longer support its Windows phone app. Pretty typical story.

If you want a decent speed all purpose phone for a very low price, get a windows phone. Equivalent android is almost always slower and cheaply made. Got this one at the minute, no complaints at all for what I paid for it.
If you want something which is speedy AND has all the apps, you'll need to spend a bit more (~£100 from what I can see).

Had this phone for a month and sold it today actually. Didn't like it at all. Been used to Android. Found it very laggy. Some apps didn't work properly eg fb due to being made by other sources and couldn't find a decent email app either after accidentally uninstalling the standard one and could find no way to reinstall
...
Shame coz nice design and build quality

Some key features were missing from the eBay app too. Like sorting by distance from home and search options. The phone was a beauty and the screen was awesome. But it's a better as a phone rather than a mini computer like most current phones.

Facebook is fine in the app and browser. What specifically are you having problems with?
Appears there is far too much FUD and misinformation about Windows phones.

At least you can still use Spotify, should you wish, although I understand for those running Windows 10 it no longer appears in the store. Get it while you can I guess.

Seriously, the level of idiocy and just bold faced lies about Windows phone and it's store just ludicrous.
The support has ended for Windows 8 phones with a Windows 10 uwa to be released soon.
Windows 10 store on my lumia 640xl as of 5 minutes ago.

Interesting, I was quoting from a user on a Windows forum who said that Spotify was no longer there, it appears they were wrong.
If it continues to operate the way it does then I will not be bothered about updates.
Having tried Windows 10 I am in no rush to use that anyway and am happy on 8.1 at the moment.

I edited my previous reply but you may not see it.
Spotify has ended support for Windows 8xx but a Windows 10 universal app will be released soon covering Windows PC/tablet, phone and Xbox one.

BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10

Nokia Symbian S60

Well I'd get a notification for a group page but when clicking on it instead of taking me to the new comments for that post in that group page it'd just take me to the group page, so if I wanted to see the notification I'd have to scroll through everything on the page to find it.
I also noticed when filtering by most recent it didn't show a lot of stuff on my newsfeed like 2 or 3 things for every hour so it's go back like 2 days but kinda be out of date.
Browser was laggy.
Dl mymy email for emails no quick syncing and couldn't send replies. Could see no way to get the original email app back.
No way to lock individual apps.
guess this is locked to Vodafone.. pls update title.. still a very good deal. NY idea how much it costs to unlock as I am on EE network..

I really like the Windows Phone OS and could have done without the millions of apps available other platforms, but Microsoft seem unable to put out a decent flagship Windows Phone. The 950 looks no better than a mid-ranger and seemed to be plagued with glitches at launch. A shame, as I really wanted to support the platform, but when it came to a choice between the 950 at well over £400, glitches and all, or an LG G4 at £235, there was only going to be one winner.
Saying that, this looks like a bargain for the price.
Some people use a phone as a phone lol, for calls ,texts, emails and browsing you don't need android or Apple, show me a phone at this price and specs ...... ...no didn't think there was.

You get a sim out of tesco, put £10 on the sim, then phone tesco mobile with the imei number and the phone number on the sim with £10 on it, and they will send you the unlock code by email .
Scratch that . Thought the phone was on tesco mobile,it's just bought from there .
