You have to spend £40 at Lidl to get £5 off so this is NOT a freebie (excluding The Metro paper which is a freebie).

Lidl no longer offer half price weekend deals, instead the have bought in pick of the week lines. 4 fruit and veg and 4 meat and poultry lines will remain at a very low price for 7 days as a replacement of half price weekend deals.

I thought the 'deal' is for the voucher which is free therefore should be in freebies or vouchers section.
Don't see any squabbling here. I believe 'misc' is the place to do that.

More importantly, what's on special this week? It's normally one bottle of booze only, so a bottle of gin or port should bump up the total.

Never seen the Metro newspaper, is it a free paper delivered through your letterbox or is is available from a newsagents?

It has circulation of 3.2 million but mainly in cities. Each region has a different edition - I'm not sure if it's in all editions but definitely in London as I've just grabbed a copy. http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/15/metros-audience-4164994/
It is valid Fri 18 Mar to Mon 28 Mar. You are only allowed TWO alcoholic products (normally one).

Doesn't this count as a copied voucher, which is not allowed?

Hi all, on the online copy to be printed, the small print says;
'copied, damaged, defaced vouchers will not be accepted' ect. So does this mean it wont be accepted if I print it off? Thanks

Now that Lidl has put its prices up, stopped the half price weekend offers and made itself look like most of the other supermarkets, it's getting easier to spend £40 there.

It said " only original vouchers are valid" so will it acceptable if I print the online version at home?

I think it is two alcohols only, and I got a voucher in Warrington at the train station. They also have them on buses round us.

Can this be used by more than one person? I'm just wondering as there's a number under the barcode.
patrick_000
18 Mar 16#35
I don't know if the PDF printout that someone posted would be accepted - you'd have to try it. Worth picking up the newspaper if you're able to. The number under the barcode is just the code they type into the till if the barcode won't scan. There is only one barcode/number (ie. no individual vouchers).

i tried to use a printed-off voucher in lidl some months ago - the cashier wouldn't accept it but i stood my ground until a supervisor came along and OKed it.
i expect that with easter approaching there'll be quite a few money-off vouchers in various publications - hope so, anyway.

Anyway, When i handed a PDF printout, the cashier made a face, said he had never heard if this, but it scanned through and he accepted it. Worth trying.

I challenge anyone to spend £40.00 in Lidl (well you know what I mean). I was there last night and could hardly carry the bag (one of those massive TK Maxx bags) to the car it was packed full of goodies, total cost- £22.00.
I was shocked how reasonable the bill was.
