This is severely cut down from the normal G3.
If you want a cheap LG, I personally think most people would be better off with the LG Spirit, which was released last year. It can be found cheaper than the G3 S, has a faster and more power efficient processor (SD410 vs SD400), includes many of the features from the G series (such as support for a QuickCircle case), and also includes an auto-brightness sensor, which is missing from the G3 S. Otherwise it's a match where specs are concerned.

I don't think your reading comprehension skills are up to much dear.
I'm saying: "Why doesn't it have it?" Not "Why do you need that?!"
However congratulations on the funny and subversive comment, how brilliant of you.

Am I missing something here, why is this so hot?!
The G3 is leagues away better than the G3S. They are really two very different animals! Don't be fooled by the name!
There will be a lot of disappointed buyers, if they think they are getting a phone equivalent to the LG G3!

I have a LG G2 Mini, it developed a software fault after an upgrade (just standard LG software) had it fixed once and now it is not working properly. Trying to get it fixed under warranty was a nightmare.
Obviously I'm sure there are lots of happy users, but there do seem to be some software issues.

i was looking at the same and settled on the idol 3 4.7" as she didn't want a big screen. 1.5gb ram and 8gb storage ( which should be able to be unlocked to 16gb ) for £99. seemed to top all other non Chinese options. If you can drop the money on a moto g 16gb then do that, if she would be happy with a large screen then go for the smart ultra 6 I'd say

Which is a shame, as it's only really Sony who do 'Compact' phones properly - Samsung, HTC and LG (the worst of the bunch) are all responsible for leeching off the flagship sub-brand and releasing smaller phones to the unsuspecting public.

Cyanogen mod has nightlies for this phone. Not saying that will turn it into something it isn't but Android version isn't really an issue now.

not much storage in that case. it is worth the asking price, i think

These 'cash in' phones (where they use the at the time current flagship model's name to attract interest from the non-aware) are invariably laughably poor for the money....but to be fair 100 quid is better than 250 quid.

Mental isn't it. Especially considering the LG G3 S was once priced at £250! (It was never worth it though).

Not sure why people are complaining. It's a decent alternative to the Moto G etc.
Strong battery life, excellent call quality, better quality camera (with laser focusing) than most budget phones etc. As long as you're not planning to fill this phone with a ton of apps, it should be fine.

My Nokia 6680 from 2005 had that! Why would any phone now not have that feature?
