Just had a Email of Costco with this being one of the hot buys this month.
No use to me but seems like a lot of tele for the money.

Will both have a static display of an overused joke or will you cycle through videos of something similar?

You could possibly replace the toilet door with one of these.

We put one in our drawing room. The missus wouldn't allow one in the library :disappointed:
Unlike a plasma tv though, you can have a static display without it burning itself into the screen.

Good to see these massive TV's coming down in price. Just need them to be 8K or 16K res and full wall size and then sci-fi TV's will be a reality

Nearly 3 grand for a 4K TV and the bundled bluray player doesn't play 4K bluray?

if this thing has 3D it would be excellent for home 3D as it's so BIG. voted hot, a lot of TV for the price.

Not quite sure why people buy these huge TVs when you could buy a 55" version for every day usage, the get one of the recent projector deals posted here and have a 120" viewing experience for movies etc, with change to spare.

And you'll need to have the best eyesight on the planet to see the quality difference on a 16k and maybe even an 8k screen!

projectors are awful for movies, unless in a pitch black environment , and dont get me started on the rainbow effect

gazter

At this price it should have 4 Hdmi ports but most people spending this much money on this will have an AV receiver

Do you know if this tv play's 3D. 3D at screen size like this would be great?

Hey Gazter, what's it like with HD sources? Any pics, I'm well tempted and was in Costco earlier looking at the LG79UB980V but was £3300 and couldn't see much difference in them.
cooldude12 to MWD
22 Mar 16#44
One diffrence is lg 79ub980v is 3D and has and extra hdmi port and better speakers
MWD
22 Mar 16#45
I can def live without 3d, can count on one finger the number of times Ive used it on my tv. Extra HDMI not really a prob either as ill run through an amp which covers the speaker aspect too - maybe the cheaper one is a better option.
