Seems a really decent deal, £200 less than John Lewis, although I don't think they'll price match!
Use Code: EAS50 to get it for £599.99
Edit: John Lewis won't pricematch due to the postal policy of charging for redelivery.

I'll check my settings. I watch TV via a sky HD box and these settings are exclusively for this hdmi input and don't change. I find sd channels look as good as my previous full HD TV and the HD channels look better than before. Hope this helps.

Sure this model is the 2014 model with old the old slow smart system. I would go for the LG 770v rebranded as John Lewis own brand for an extra £50 with 5 year guarantee that has good reviews
Which model ? - The OPs or the 3D 4K Smart Panny I posted above you?

What he said.... Better TV, and a 5 year warranty.

I have the lg49uf850v, got it for £629 from currys. Wasn't happy with out the box settings, but once tweaked you can get a really nice picture out of it with good blacks. Up scaling is really good. It's a great telly.

Save your money and buy OLED there amazing. Will blow this away. Watch OLED verses top end led lcd on YouTube.

I think this doesnt have quite as good a refresh rate. Also, the fact it's RRP was £799 made me think it must be lower quality in the first place... Probably nonsense. Tbh, I think there is very little between them all in this range.

Out of interest the code in the OP works on any electrical order over £600
And the code TWE30 works on anything £300 over for £30 off

I don't see better for the money anywhere. Mine isn't due for delivery til the 21st, so plenty of time to find another one and cancel!
good price for this tv.personally there are a few issues that would stop me pulling the trigger on this, but nice spot op.heat added.

surprised to hear that you managed to cure the input lag on these as they supposed to hit as much as 100ms which is very poor compared to rival tv sets.if you could explain and share how you did this,it would be of great benefit to our members, many thanks.

Does this TV have HDR? pointless buying 4K if it don't

You're right, but no I don't think it will. Only their more expensive OLED ones do, but honestly it's not that easy to tell which. Some mention OLED HDR and Dolby Vision support.

It's a shame that the number of HDMI ports on these TVs has not increased in most cases beyond 3 or 4.
I have 5 devices connected to my TV and need a switching box.

This or the John Lewis JL9100?
stig83 to bigsipie
28 Mar 16#25
The JL9100 is the same as the LG UF770V and has better smart system. webos 2.0 gets very good comments compared to the old smart system. The uf695v is quite dated now too. I paid the extra for the John Lewis 770v version.

Looking to upgrade my TV but not sold on 4k TV's yet. The upscaling of HD content does it look as good or better than normal HD content? As upscaling fills in the blanks does it impact the image?

I found this... Sounds quite vague, but my understanding is that it doesnt just replace 1 pixel with a group of 4. I think it re-renders the frames and smooths things out a bit. Sounds like marketing though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B95nnN2TOo

Out of the box I experienced some lag while playing PS4 and Xb1, the settings once adjusted have solved this and I have not suffered anything since.
