Is the 16gb version likely to be good enough for basic 4k editing (short clips from my mobile) and basic games (i.e. from 10 years ago)? Thanks

You do know 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz only cost £50 on amazon right?
You can get a business laptop with i5-5200u for £330, add 16GB RAM, work out £380. (And you have a spare 4GB RAM)
Or you could go for business laptop with A10-8700P, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD at £290. Add 8GB RAM at £27, work out £317, £60 cheaper. A10-8700P is more powerful than i5-5200u on both CPU and GPU. Downside, battery life will be shorter.
Business laptop at cheaper price.
How is the Lenovo B50 hot deal? You tell me. (Lenovo B50 is a budget consumer laptop)
If buying Lenovo, I suggest do not go for G, B and Z series, they are not good quality. Go for at least E series.

Appreciate the feedback, I had thought your suggestion was for a Lenovo but see its HP! I agree it may be a better spec, but i could probably get an ACER for less but opting for Lenovo! Will keep my eyes pealed

You'd have to know you could use the 16GB RAM though for your workload. If you don't know then don't get it. For future proofing reasoning is absurd. Don't get 16GB RAM unless you know you can use it, unless of course you like wasting money for no reason.
I thought this was a very average price for a very mediocre laptop?

How can you not have a receipt for a digital purchase? If you got it on eBay it's in your purchase history isnt it?
