This is a great price for the huge (1m long!) Lego Tower Bridge. Price on Lego's website is at £209 and most places are out of stock.
If internet rumours can be believed this is due to retire soon so grab while you can to prevent the resellers bumping up the price
When posting there was stock in Northampton, Harlow, Reading, Oxford, Ipswich, Swindon, Cardiff from what I can see quickly.
Also 2x £10 vouchers for a spend after 18th April

I bought mine from Amazon Italy back in 2013 for around £150 posted. Sorry, Gareth - I wasn't a HKUD member then so I didn't post the deal so no need to get on your high horse this time!
It's around until at least the end of 2017, plenty of time.

it looks amazing when built, needed to buy a whole new shelf to put it on though it isn't small

Been debating this since yesterday, spotted when picking up the palace cinema, it's a hell of a reduction on a set of this magnitude. Sadly, my local (Reading) is no longer available :disappointed:

How'd you know that if you don't mind me asking? From what I've seen its highly likely to be gone this summer?

Not at all, it's from a friend who used to work for LEGO who still has contacts. Even most LEGO employees don't know so it's just qualified speculation. Nice if it did go this year as I need to reclaim space in my lock-up!

Toys R US are terrible, you can reserve to click and collect, driving 20 miles, then out of stock in store.
Or the box will be lightly smashed/scratched.
Each store have just one Lego Tower Bridge.
Such of risk for wasting time.
Happen to me there with Batman: The Tumbler 76023
If everything is ok with the item, both cashier and manager will be misinformed to give you TWO £10 Lego vouchers, instead of one.

Genuine question. Not meant in a snarky way or anything... But £168 for a Lego set? And this is a bargain? Why do these sets cost so much?

Phoned Oxford store, they had 1 left. That hadn't been reserved/click & collect. Boom, result, going to enjoy building this.

What idiot would pay £336 for a used lego set?

Sell it to the Americans and get Tower Bridge instead.
How many man hour's, approx, would it take to build this? Just out of interest.

That's nothing, people pay literally THOUSANDS for retired sets. Try looking at sold listings on ebay for Lego 10179 - Star Wars millennium falcon. One went on the 5th March for £2500.

I've had this before too. They went to the shelf, looked a bit then came back and said there weren't any left. I said surely mine is out the back somewhere as its been reserved, they said no they don't do it like that.

The ones that missed out at the RRP of £209.99 and those that "think" it'll be worth £700 a couple of years later. Just look at the after-market prices now for the Taj Mahal and UCS Millennium Falcon. The golden age of LEGO investing is long gone so £700 is a long shot. The last good set was the 10221 StarWars Super Star Destroyer where I bought several off Amazon for £265 each a couple of years ago and are now about to reach £1000 on eBay. Somebody who pays £500 now for a 10221 is far from an idiot ;-)

Once a set is retired they can go for a fair bit over their original price even if already built.
