Best price I've seen this anywhere and I note it is limited to 2 per customer. Plenty left in my local store (Leicester) and available online too. Enjoy!

I didn't buy at £90, although I was tempted... reckoned it could go a little cheaper at some point, and I already have two sealed 7965's for my boys for this Christmas (paid £62.50 and £82 for them, so felt £90 was too much for the new one!).
Yep, investing in Lego is very risky - 7965 went up to about £200, can't see this one being quite as popular as the Original Falcon after retirement, so worth a bit less in the future. If you're buying at £110 to resell, you're not going to make much on eBay once fees and postage are taken off, even selling for £175-£190 - you might make £30-£40 on it post retirement in a couple of years time, but there’s always the risk that an updated version will come out for the next film that keeps the price of this one down. However, it is an iconic ship from Star Wars.
I spend a lot on Lego and now buy mainly what I like the look of and think my sons and nephews would like, so generally several of the same set at a time, and almost always at at 33% or more off (unless it’s a Lego exclusive). That way, if I then decide later on not to give them as presents, if I sell I’m likely to not lose any money – or I can always keep and break up for parts.

Having collected and sold large quantities of toys at various profits and losses, my view is this; buying this as an investment is incredibly risky, and like all investments with higher risks, the rewards are potentially great.
They can also dramatically bomb too, my rule of thumb is, to buy stuff that I like and would be happy to keep, if in 10 years it's worth 4x, 10x, 50x etc then great, if it's worth a third of what I paid for it, I'll keep it with a grin like the nerd that I am.
This is a good price, but I'm waiting a little bit longer before I buy it - just personal view and I've voted hot, thanks OP.

Went below £90 back in November - if it follows the same pattern as the previous OT Falcon 7965 (available for 3 years), this set will yo-yo in price and drop below £100, even £90, many times.

Great deal. As I've been looking at eBay for a few weeks now and goes for around this price. Least ordering new there's 100% chance of all the pieces being there. Ordered and heat added!!

£1000 is cheap. Usually sells for £3000. This one won't go for much. those ones are often the Ultimate collectors edition. also look at the Lego website to see which ones they are going to retire.. they often increase in price. my cousin recently bought £2000 worth of these plastic bricks!

Went to the National Space Centre today at Leicester. They had a Lego event on, while surely not the same someone had a large scale Millenium Falcon that he paid £300 for but said they sell for over £1000 nowadays. Don't know when that model was from.
Not suggesting everyone goes out and buys 2 of these, just interesting to come home and see this deal.

Yeah maybe, I think it's all speculation but if you are patient and willing to wait years I think it's good to have money invested in stuff like that. I don't know if there are any examples of sets for 10 years ago which are still selling for the same, or failing to sell at the original value? I'm happy to sit on it forever. It is satisfying I like buying things and letting them appreciate in value over the years.

ordered twice. I think I'll start buying the odd lego set and letting it sit in the attic as they only seem to go up in price!

Not sure if this one will rocket in price after its retired. Its generally the more expensive larger UCS Star Wars sets that do.

Further, I tried adding BRU products to value over £100, applying the code then removing the baby items, but unfortunately this does not work either!

I tried this too, the code only applies to Babies R Us products if you go into the small print (even though it has been circulated with Toys R Us logo) hence BRU.. I've tried 'TRU20' but unfortunately that doesn't work either. Good try though!

Quidco emailed a code for £20 off £100 spend today "Enjoy £20 when you spend £100 or more + 3% cashback"
Code is BRU20
Just tried it and it accepts the code but does not take off the £20.
