Was £20, then £10 & now down to £5, it is instore (well it is where my sil lives) & online, sadly a £2 C+C charge applies, but it is on the whole order not just per item, so if you order a few things it's not too bad I suppose.
Only 1 review but that is 5*.

No reviews on their website for this set and reviews for other John Lewis play sets range from poor to very good. I suspect you get what you pay for.

Great find, ordered 4 as well. Got a number of grandkids so they can run more than 1 train and decide if they want to derail each other. Better than just watching it go round and round.

Looking at the photo I'm wondering if it's possible to join more than one set together?

It is a bit crap to be honest. The track is literally one loop with a track in the middle. The guy who designed this could not be more unimaginative.
dude_1234 to lehappymerchant
26 Mar 16#20
Yea.. But In £ 5 quid you can`t get multi loop. If you need multi loop then multiply £5x ( number of loops )..

Very imaginative for you to think it was a guy that designed it.

£2 to collect it, do they pay me £2 ?
Gennip
26 Mar 16#28
The £2 charge to collect an item is ridiculous. That's why Argos, with their free reserve and collect, will always do well.

I'd rather pay the 2 or 3 quid to JL or Tesco than to be lied to from Argos managers and their electronic goods sham repairers. For the record, I had my item (had developed a fault after 10 months) repaired from the manufacturer free of charge, after the Argos repair service contractors had concluded "unrepairable user damage". Gave them a chance to come clean but the CEO did not want to know.
ARGOS will not do well from me.

"This set comes with 1 master train carriage and 2 passenger carriages to attach it to."
1 master train carriage being the locomotive? That trumps calling a locomotive a train!

Reason they charge the £2 for orders under £30 as all the items come direct from Milton Keynes. (Not from shop like Argos) Next day delivery most people spend over £30 anyway.
