My son just received the iPad air from yesterday's deal and it looks brand new so far, whether they are all in that condition is difficult to say. But so far so good.

You're making out iOS 9.3 bricks all iPad 2's. It doesn't at all, I've updated my mum and dads iPad 2 and it works perfectly. Maybe some have been unable to activate after the update but that doesn't mean it's bricked. Apple shop will sort it out anyway, even out of warranty. Plus you can roll back to 9.2.1, as Apple are still signing those firmwares

Argos but it depends if it was ever registered when you get it, if it hasn't been then Apple will give it 12 months warranty or you could finds it still has Apple warranty left. Take it to Apple first before Argos that way you will get a replacement from Apple rather than a repair from Argos.
