Just got an email that Iceland are now reducing the instore home delivery from £25 to £20. This is what I use. Mainly getting lots of mineral water bottles 24 for £3. too heavy to carry. If you are shopping this Easter at Iceland, this might save you from lifting heavy things.

I agree, and I personally wouldn't consider feeding my dog the processed crap Iceland sell, if a person didn't want to take advantage of a food bank, than its better then starving..............I suppose!

So frustrating hearing people get this kinda frustrated about the carrier bag charge...it's a government incentive to deter people from using them and by law companies have to charge for them. Companies don't make any money from them. Plus you pay 25p for probably more then 5 bags...and even so it's 25p!! People ashamed to lower themselves to having an Iceland van on their front but too so stingy as to worry about 25p lol

25 Mar 161#41
we should boycott all shops that practice the evil carrier bag charge

25 Mar 161#38
In my local, they ask you first. If you have your own bags. But not seen anyone bring their own
for home delivery. Don't understand why they need it for my order especially as its mainly water bottles.
Agree with you, that 5p charge is wrong or the companies should take it out of their profits.

You might get funny looks if you took your own bags for home delivery tho lol
Carrier bags are taxed, hmmm :smirk: , maybe they should make bio disposable bags instead of the usual ones
i just want my 25p back and all the other 5ps that were stolen from me :disappointed:

Clearly not as frozen food is frozen almost upon picking. So it is in fact probably better for you then the stuff you can pick of the shelves from other supermarkets!

So you shop like normal in store then ask for delivery at checkout? Do they get it delivered same day?
thekitkatshuffler to Godsenseuk
25 Mar 161#14
Yes and yes. They just take your shopping in a pallet to their cold room out back and send it out for delivery later on.
There'll be a sign at the front of the shop advising which 2 hour slots are available.
shabbird to Godsenseuk
25 Mar 16#15
In our store, as you enter they have a sign what hours are available for home delivery. Shop as normal and in checkout say you want a home delivery. Have your bonus card with you. Most of my shopping is water.
Delivered same day and the hour you chose. They will give you the available slots at checkout or have a sign.

good memory.. I voted in that deal and had no idea as I did search before posting. We have 2 Iceland 15 minutes apart. :smirk:

Yeah, looking at the website it seems it could be a store specific / rollout promotion. I don't shop at Iceland (not through choice) so I'm unaware of the delivery specifics to be fair. I just remembered seeing it, and it does seem to still state £25 online.
Anyway, like I said, it wasn't an attempt to disrespect the deal. It was purely inquisitive

25 Mar 161#5
It always been £25 at my local store. They have signs minimum £25. I guess they finally reached my store.
I just about make the minimum required for home delivery.
Also looks like that was a special offer. This one seems it will be regular price from now on.

At the risk of devaluing the deal. Did they not do this 8 weeks ago?
