another pretty good deal from ebuyer, although it will populate all 4 of your ram slots. cant go wrong for this price.

Would 2 sticks of 8gb be any better?

With X99, you would benefit from quad-channel with 4 sticks, which could be very little. If you are planning on having more than 16GB on a 4 slot Z170 motherboard, 2 8GB sticks would be better, of course.

CL15!!! That's too much latency for Kodi. Expect severe lip sync issues.

'its fine if you buy an expensive motherboard' isnt exactly an argument for the general public buying H110 and H170 boards that only support 2133....

if your motherboard dont support it then dont buy it, what do you want me to say

As I was pointing out to people, the high frequency may not be supported by your motherboard so check before buying, you would be surprised at the amount of people that just see the DDR3/4 and think that its instantly compatible. So ideally, you would have been best not saying anything.

Before you buy this, consider a higher frequency or lower CL set of DDR4. It isn't cheaper, as this is a really good price for 16 gig of DDR4...
But you may appreciate the speed difference: There is a stick of DDR4-3000mhz with CL 14 running for less than 100.
The G.Skill Ripjaws V Series has many options.
