I have 10% off codes for the monthly bundle but I have been subscribed since the first one does anyone know if HB use the 10% automatically or will I be better unsubscribing and buying manually each month?
Edit: I decided to stop being lazy and check and the voucher does indeed redeem itself the monthly bundle is normally $12 but for the March bundle I paid $10.80

I had the 10% voucher from a bundle purchase also, it wasn't redeemed against the monthly though. I've emailed Humble, but it takes a while for a reply

If you buy now and cancel you'll get the April bundle in full when it's released and South Park/This War of Mine now - I've done this a few times without problems.

putting the 'secret' games aside, I think you will only ever purchase the monthly based on the headline game/s. Ark was something near the cost of £8.44 around xmas/black friday sales as I nearly bought it then.
Its preying on people forgetting to cancel their subs though, as there has been a boom in other markets of this kind of subscription model such as PACT and Beer52.
Be sure to set reminders to cancel as soon as you collect your items and your fine.... if you dont you could be paying good money for stuff you already have!

Every comment I've seen of theirs is either contrarian, rude, or both. I just assumed they were one of those people that wastes their time trying to stir up dissent and aggravate strangers.
OT: Shame I already have both of those. Having missed out on this month and with it turning out to be so good I actually might have been swayed to give monthly another shot this time round.

Just to check (as I am stupid :stuck_out_tongue:), if I paid for the ARK Bundle on the 5th February, tomorrow it should take the monthly sub again and I'll have the two games for paying early? Or do I need to do something else?

Last month was terrible compared to this. The only decent games were Alien Isolation and Titan Souls.
I'm glad to see that there's no point and click adventure games this month.

I already have South Park and couldn't get into War of Mine before I refunded it. Not sure if I should keep it going or not.

Thanks, I was just checking and realised that's the only downside - so you would see the one or two they're dangling you into temptation and if those alone were good enough (as with this one) then great, but the rest are 'hidden'.

Let's say I wanted to nab this bundle but cancel subscription right away - is there any reason I couldn't just do that as and when, just pick and choose which month's bundles I want AFTER seeing what they are? Can anyone tell me what reason I may be missing for not doing this instead of actually subscribing, other than a little more hassle, presumably?

You can't do that, once a bundle has been shown it becomes unavailable and moves onto next months. That means if you subscribe after they're revealed, the first bundle you'd get is the one for the month after. You have to subscribe in advance.
If you subscribed now you'd get these two games (which are part of next months bundle) and then the rest of them when they're shown.
