I totally agree, I bought this plus a few other brands of mould removers to help a friend remove some black mould, I bought them from home bargains and they were all priced around £1 to £2, really expected them to be ineffective that's why I bought so many different bottles, but to my surprise all worked really well and better than diluted bleached from a garden sprayer which I tried previously which sort of worked but tend to smear and move the problem around rather than removing it. It worked really well and made a dreaded job pretty easy and fast.
My advice: buy some cheap mould cleaner from pound shop/ home bargains, spray it on affected areas leave it to work as per instructions and use 2 buckets and seperate sponges/ cloths. Clean with one bucket of hot soapy water and use the other clean water to rinse, try not to contaminate the clean water and change water often. Dry. Use in a well vented area, smell can be pretty strong in confined spaces.

This is good, but is basically bleach (which also works).

I tend to find that bleach diluted 50/50 with water in a spray bottle works well on grout and sealant. Just keep natural coloured fabrics away.

If you have mouldy then you should resolve the issue not spray chemicals into your home environment.

The mould spores can be deadly, so be careful.

I have this best one I have used. But I think I got the for £4.20 but that was a multi buy on ebay

Also used this successfully on tiles, grout, silicon and plasterboard (whole shower basically) - however I've now replaced our bathroom extractor fan with an inline fan and I've cured the mould problem in the shower for good. Our vent from the bathroom is vertical through the roof and the normal fans weren't powerful enough to clear the damp air as it condensed - also insulating the vent hose helped too.

I agree that you need to establish where the damp is coming from. Condensation needs ventilation . A wet plaster wall could hide a leak or penetration or , failed dpc . In older properties lime plaster allows walls to breath, while cement or modern gypsum plaster traps moisture.

If you are going to spray any of these products, for heaven sake open the window and wear a mask and googles . Invisible droplets could be breathed in or get in your eyes .

I did on walls that were to be painted again and it's worked a treat, they were really bad in a house I rent out.

I've also accidentally got it on my painted walls in the bathroom and it will stain your paint work, it's proper strong.

Can this clean grout nicely? Also does anyone know any strong detergent that I can get the scale of my taps with.

I have a problem with stubborn mould (in shower sealant) which normal bleach/bleach sprays can't seem to shift. I had a quick google of this product and apparently it contains a corrosive alkaline chemical along with the bleach so it may be worth a try if bleach isn't getting all the mould.

This stuff is great, we had quite a lot of mould not long after we moved in here and sometimes get the odd spot pop up again and HG always takes care of it. Used it on paint and everything and never had a problem.

My experience: sprays like this work well, but watch silicon sealant. It was wrecked by the spray when I used it around windows etc. It just peeled off.
Also, as others have said; fix the cause of the damp, this just gets rid of the symptom (temporarily)

Better than just bleach in water is a solution of bleach and white vinegar - if you're using thin bleach then 50/50 by volume mixed in water but DON'T add the bleach and vinegar to each other, either one into the water first. A teaspoon of each to a litre of water is enough. I killed and cleaned something creeping about a foot down a bathroom wall a couple of years ago with this and it's still not back.

Can this be used for car seats? Got a car that has gone a bit mouldy as it's been set outside unused for 12mths and has spawned Mould :neutral_face:

that's nothing else but bleach...... just get some from home bargains for 79p and use on a cloth.

Great for mould removal, but in terms of packaging, the new bottles are really bad, have had three bottles leak and got the stuff all over the place. Sometimes the spray doesn't work either. When buying Look out for the bottle in the picture, that's the one you want. The new one comes with the spray part detached and stuck to the side

so is this Sodium Hypochlorite less than 5% bleach? as only ingredent i can find listed.

this is great for those who think 'you get what you pay for'. But in reality you are paying for a very expensive product and getting bleach worth about 1/10th of the cost. Just like headache tablets - read what the active chemical is, and buy the unbranded generic product. Buy bleach, aspirin, ibuprofen etc and not the named brands which are exactly the same.

I swear by this stuff. Tried cheaper ones and also bleach, was resigned to regrouting the bathroom, then gave this a go and it came up great. It's the same price at B&Q but handy if you're ordering from Amazon anyway.

If you use bleach on tiles you damage the seal between the tile and the grout/bath seal. I use this stuff and I assume it isn't just bleach... The same way others are assuming it is just bleach.

Screwfix - was about £50, they also sell insulated vent hose, I just used some normal roof insulation as a test but will probably get the proper stuff next time I need to go into the loft space.

Do it regularly. It does. Either that or the little bleach fairies come round and wipe it all away when I'm not looking.
