In my experience, the quality of the meat from Morrisons is consistently better than that from Asda...

I'm not surprised legs of lamb are cheap now, especially the way they are currently breeding them!

no thanks sheep meat tastes like sweaty poop, better let them live!
If I wanted some sheep I could go to some nearby hills and ram some with my old car and have as much sheep as I want, crazy how much sheep there is in the hills seriously no one hunts them over here? They even run on the road in those areas themselves yet people just drive past them... weird... I reckon there's around 20-30kg of meat on one sheep, crazy how people are so lazy and can't go hunt them themselves.

What's the difference from British and New Zealand sheep? Does one go "Baaaa" and the other "Behhhhh"?
But seriously, apart from the carbon footprint of shipping them is there any real reason to pick on over the other? And I'm definitely appreciative of local produce reasons, too.

The ones they have labelled NZ are expensive. This is cheap (hence on HUKD), but no country of origin- I wonder why?

They have been very careful to not tell you the origin of this lamb. That's strange because they have labelled british meat products as "british". I wonder why they have not labelled this?

Maybe they ran out of marker pens?

It will likely be either British or from New Zealand as it may change according to availability. I guess they could at least put something like "British or New Zealand lamb" in the description like a couple of supermarkets have done. I think it's just a mistake as there are some frozen lamb legs specifically advertised from New Zealand.

I had the £4/K Asda for last Sunday's roast and it was very nice, having left overs for tonight too :-)

The meat from Asda is far from unpleasant, but after shopping at both for a many years, I've just learned that the meat from Morrisons is just better. Less fatty, (when you want it that way) less added water, better flavour...
Just better.

i second that. morrisons meat is far superior to both asda and tesco
