Visited Halfords at Alban Retail Park, Warrington today (09/03/16). They had a rack of cycling clothing to clear. Not sure if limited to this store or nationwide. Some stuff over 50% off.
From other users it would appear that each store has priced its clearance items differently. A lot of stores appear to have only reduced their sale items by a small margin.

Because bike snob.
I've got everything from Aldi/Lidl gear through to Castelli, Assos etc. and am happy to wear it all if it does the job. I've got expensive gear that is less than stellar (pair of Sugoi bib shorts where the logo disintegrated after 5 washes) and cheap stuff that performs superbly (Endura tops)
Absolutely nothing wrong with Altura or Dare2B stuff, in fact I'd say in many ways it's preferable to the expensive stuff for commuting or MTB where cost and function is more important than post-ride posing outside the cafe. Rip a £20 top on a branch and it's no biggie, some Rapha thing that cost £140?

I've got a wide range of brands. Altura can be hit and miss - Night Vision top = Hot, Bibs = quite literally cold (frost nip on winky!).

It would be worth clarifying why D2B and Altura aren't of any interest though.

Altura/D2B, not interested. Gore is decent quality though.

I nipped into the Chorley, Lancs store tonight who also had a clearance rail. However, the discounts on these items were nowhere near as generous as the Warrington shop. I might be wrong but it seems that possibly the store managers are setting the clearance prices of these items so it will be hit and miss whether the offers compare to the ones at Warrington.

Got some Altura stuff, decent quaility, irrespective of price. Obviously not as good as the premium brands but more than good enough for the club cyclist who isn't worried about brand jealousy.

Been into Maidenhead and Slough, quite a bit of decent gear on offer.

Rubbish offers in Paisley, mainly 5 or 10 off items 40 or more. Not really desperate to clear anything there
Heat for original deal though
