We have a blackout roller blind in babies room but it still let's too much light from 4.30am in summer so this works well for us during those months. Adjustable size with Velcro bits and you have to make sure you wet and stick the suckers evenly and right to the edge of glass... However I still roll the black out blind over it and we have darkness! And still the baby does not sleep well...zzz

No but it stops them getting up at stupid O'clock because it's light and they go to sleep straight away at 7-8 even though it's daylight until 10.

I've had one of these for over a year and I paid £20. I put it on the little kids window in the summer. Brilliant and really well made. Good find.

several of the reviews on Amazon are critical of the sucker caps. If they don't hold the blind on the window then it's obviously a waste of money, or if there is only a 50/50 chance it will stay up, imagine being on edge all night waiting for it to drop!

I am planning to use Velcro (available at Tesco for £3 and stick it on the edge of the window (only at the top and if needed on the sides). The gro anywhere has velcro on its edges to help with managing with the window size.
I presume that velcro option will be much more stable! Just one of the solutions (as I do not want to use sucker caps due to the venetian blinds that I have for the window).

I suspect my standards for light, may be a little, ah, tighter - normally I have double proper blackout material so that even in the middle of summer, you could be facing the window, wave your hand infront and not be able to see any movement or anything but 'black'.

Good price, but not an amazing product.
I'm a really light sleeper and got one for sleeping at friend's houses etc.
Obviously won't fully block out light at edges, though does through the material.
Sucker cups don't seem to be as great as they could be.
