Hot for the young uns. A little upset that I am too old for stuff at 31.

Please add the "under 26" stipulation in the title, as it is a limiting factor to the price for a lot of people

There are loads of decent independent places. I would rather stay at them than a YHA place.

love the YHA, hate the current bunch running the shop who have adopted Ryanair style pricing strategies - sell rooms at highest prices to your loyal customers, them let them know that everyone else is getting them cheaper... Clever guys, but as the charities have learned, these tactics seriously damage your brand long term

Some really interesting yha places around. Stayed in a few of them and some are really good value but on occasions you can find cheaper B&B's. The pricing increases generally appear to have been as they gear more towards families. Our last trip was at the Ironbridge one and as lovely as it was there were a large number of families that basically let the kids run riot. That's not good when you have shared bathrooms and kitchen and living areas.

Hi everyone! YHA aims to help young people, families and friends, and individuals to explore, learn and relax the length and breadth of England and Wales. We are especially committed to helping young people: “To help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the cultural values of towns and cities, particularly by providing Youth Hostels or other accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, recreation and education”. Thanks, The YHA Team.

The Princes Trust regular has a promo on for half price, that the auld ones like me can use
Earls Court was nice for a few days in London, posh side, quiet and 5 min to Earls Court underground with loads of shops coming or going to the station.
