Bought credit its acknowledged on my microsoft account but there is no option to use a gift card of any sort only credit card on the microsoft store. how do I do this?!

Did you go to the windows store app when your region is set to "Russia" and then click on your profile picture, then click "redeem a code"
when you try to do so with the code you were given when purchasing your microsoft points, it should tell you that you tried to redeem points for the wrong region and asks if you want to change your region.
So you change your region, put the code in again, then it should work so you can purchase the game with the code.

i bought it late last night and yeah its not good, theres very little in the way of graphics options, forced v-sync, haven't found a single multiplayer match, fluctuating framerate on my gtx 970.
also annoyingly windows store games dont run in fullscreen mode so msi, shadowplay Fraps ect dont work with it.
Overall i'd say wait it out until its fixed kinda regret buying it, wouldn't be nearly as bad for me if the multiplayer f*****g worked as that what i bought it for.

Me too in regards to Quantum Break. I'll be happier to pay full price once these Windows Store apps have a better value proposition, no mods, no way to use g-sync and no exclusive fullscreen is just not good enough to warrant Windows Store as a decent gaming store. I wish they gave us the choice of another retailer like Steam.

Go to the online MS store, change region to Russia using the link in the footer. Go to the xbox credit page which is on the front of the russian store. Buy the credit using revolut+ru address. Go to xbox redeem code page and change the region to Russia again. Redeem code. Then just purchase it from the russian Windows 10 Store.

Yes I did that. Then I changed the region to Russian. Opened the store selected the game. Tried to buy but it kept wanting me to add a payment card. When I changed it to UK it gave me the option to pay via my Microsoft gift balance. Am wondering if you can buy a Russian gift card and use that instead?

Not sure. I've tried India and Ukraine, same error as you. Two different cards, one visa and one Revolut Mastercard.
