Car Front Wheel alignment is only £15 at National Tyres and Autocare centres. You need to print the voucher (click Get Deal). No other purchase necessary - I went to my nearest one the other day. No upsell of anything, just told me the price of the new tyres I already had for comparison. Phone ahead to check they accept the voucher. Some places charge £49.99, rip off

Bet they try and upsell 4 Wheel alignment, but seems like a reasonable deal on what they usually try to get away with charging.

Do they do 4 wheel alignment? As I believe my near side rear wheel is slightly off but the others are fine?

I have used this service a lot as I covered over 40000/50000 miles a year and went through 2 sets of tyres a year. I would have the tracking done each time I had a new set of tyres fitted. They do a so so job. A mate to me to go to align my car for 4 wheel tracking.I think it's call a hunter machine or software. Cost is about £60.00 but in the last 80000 miles I have not had the edge of any of my tyres wear.the last set of tyres did 40000 miles.not the normal 25/30000 miles so worth the money in my opinion.

Had this done a few weeks ago (at this price), they didn't try to up sell or cross sell, but only spent 2 or 3 minutes undertaking the work - it may have made a small difference, - the car didn't seem to pull quite so hard to the right afterwards, but am saving up to get a proper 4 wheel Hunter alignment done.

Sorry to make a sweeping generalisation. BUT have you ever watched these cowboys do this??? If you have you would never let them anywhere near your car. Clueless, absolutely clueless. Opinion based upon several dealings with them. Beggars belief!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with zontes comment, a few years ago my car was wearing out tyres due to tracking issues, I had tracking done by different tyre places, some said my car was within the tolerances others carried out the work, I had little confidence in their abilities, car tyres continue wear unevenly. Finally took it to another tyre place, took abit of time and did several adjustments, did amazing job. Tyres lasted ages and the car drove so much better. Some companies tell you they use state of the art equipment but if the operator is incompetent then it is money down the drain.

few years back they did "tracking" for my dad. he came to replace tyres and they were adamant tracking is wrong when it wasnt. after replacing tyres the guy went straight onto tracking ramp without any questions if my dad want it to get done. anyway this idiot put tracking laser on a wheels, basically put holder on a tyre without tightening them and kinda did a tracking. this company is a joke. i understand some of the staff there might be ok,but i wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Hi, just a bit of feedback from my personal experience. My steering was a bit shaky and tyres not wearing evenly I took my car to ATS and they put it on a machine and pulled up a monitor in the waiting area to show me the tracking and as they were adjusting you could see the tracking come back within the tolerances.
I thought it was top notch approach to be honest as you could see what they were doing and the steering is no longer shaky at high speeds, maybe its worth calling this company and just ask them if you will be able to see the tracking before and after either on a screen or printout.
On the other hand they did tell me I needed new brakes when I had just had an MOT and they were well within the legal limits, I agree these types of companies often try to rip you off but if you have a good idea what you want doing when you go there then you should be fine.

I have to agree with all of the negative comments here about National Tyres and Autocare.
They are an absolute joke of a company.

OMG you must spend half your life on the our heavily congested and badly surfaced roads!!!!...just a query...what brand of tyre lasted 40000?....the best wear I've experienced is from Michelin when I covered about 35K...I always change tyres back to front to even wear as I always replace all 4 at the same time.

I took mine to the one in Plymouth a few years ago. The first thing they did was charge £5 extra per wheel for using gas on the stiff nuts, even though I had my tyres changed a year earlier. After the job was finished I noticed car began to pull to the left immediately. Took it back within minutes, and the foreman claimed that my steering rack was broken, and tried to quote me for a replacement! I was fuming.. he relented and had another guy look at it, it turned out that one of the track rod ends hadn't been tightened properly. Avoid these cowboys at all cost. I received no apology.

Avoid at all costs, these 'quick' and 'cheap' fixes will actually end up costing you more time and money!
Hunter alignment for my old Golf was about £100 and well worth it.

can't believe how nieve people still are even this day in age to still drive in to a fast fit center you deserve what you get.... but a guy i spoke to today didn't deserve the service he got... paid a fortune to get his front and rear brakes done to find out less then a week later rear pads and discs metal to metal and 1 rear caliper seized. i wont even tell you about the front!

when I first started driving I got conned on my first two experiences with garages - since then I have avoided going to garages unless it has been beyond my knowledge (so far only once in 30 years and then Audi main dealer said it was a head gasket as I later discovered it was diagnosed as my water level was slightly low - they did not solve the problem and charged £250), anyway I have become a dab hand at doing my own4 wheel tracking with long lengths of wood and tape measure + spirit levels, all the manuals say you can not do it yourself ! I disagree and although does take some time I have had no problems of uneven tyre wear or pulling after I have adjusted them!
They refused to honour the voucher and said they'd only do 4 wheel alignment at a price of 29.95 "per adjustment".... Equating to a bill potentially of well over 150 quid. Lol don't bother with these clowns. Feel duped. It's not genuine offer and it was a waste of a journey
