My friend has flown to Thailand today so jealous am I, that I decided to put this deal together. You can adjust this to suit, bur I think it's a good itinerary.
On 8th April you'll fly from London to Bangkok, arriving on the evening of 9th.
You'll spend just two nights in Bangkok but you'll be returning their later on in your trip. You'll spent 2 nights at The House of Phraya Jasaen which is highly rated and near the riverbank Bangkok ideal for getting around but in a quiet area.
On the evening of 11th April you'll take the sleeper train to Chang Mai. You can leave luggage in Bangkok if you wish. You'll arrive in Chang Mai the 12th April and spend 4 nights in Chang Mai at the Zz guest house, leaving on the evening of 16th April for the sleeper back to Bangkok, arriving on 17th April back in Bangkok. You have a bit of time to go back and collect your bags etc before then catching a flight later to Siem Reap in Cambodia. In Cambodia you'll spend 3 nights in Siem Reap at the V&A Villa which is again highly rated. You'll then move on to Phnom Peh. There are a variety of options to get to Phnom Peh cheaply, including buses or taxi. It will not cost more than £10pp whichever option you pick. You will spend another 3 nights in Cambodia, this time in Phnom Penh at Arun Villa which has great reviews.
On 23rd April you'll leave Phnom Penh and fly to Phuket. You'll spend just 1 night in Phuket at the highly rated Baan Kata Maytha as you'll be catching the ferry on 24th, the next day to Phi Phi. On 24th you'll catch the ferry to Phi Phi and spend 4 nights chilling out at the Kitty Guesthouse which again comes highly rated. I've based you there for 4 nights but if you wanted you could also head to Krabi but I think Phi Phi is nicer.
On 28th you'll catch the ferry back to Phuket for your final night before flying out on 29th April back home.
This is just as example and you could adjust this to suit. There are cheaper options in terms of accommodation but I've picked ones that are highly rated. You could also take bus journeys which may be cheaper, although longer than flying.

Having recently been in Cambodia, don't get any buses that are less than £10. There is a very very high number of accidents on that bus route.
The company I used, and a lot of the backpackers recommend is Giant Ibis. You can get either day or night buses with them. They cost a little more than most (think it was £15 or so for my night bus to Phnom Penh), but are worth it for your safety. Can also book online which makes things easier. Tuk Tuk drivers in Siem Reap will know where their offices are, its near pub street and the night market.

For some maybe, my complete nightmare would be confined to a resort for any longer than 2 days and not getting about exploring :stuck_out_tongue: I guess you could base yourself in one place but you'll never get to see much. Depends what you want to see and do....

anyone going travelling get the revolut app you add momney and when you get it out anywhere in the world the currency is amazing compared to banks, have a look really good app and get a card to use it, saves alot of money although in thailand you get charged 4£ each time you get money out (ATM fee) if going with 3-4 of you, get one app and send money when needed and get money out together and keep few weeks money on you (keep safe)

Also you need to add the price of the Visa to enter Cambodia, dunno how much it is if you fly into Siem Reap, but two friends recently crossed the land border and paid 27 US dollars each. When I went a while ago it was only 20 dollars, it seems they add some sort of processing fee on or something, which no doubt they line there back pockets with!! Great price for all that though!!! Heat

Given the amount of travelling, its a good price. BUT, April is the start of the rainy season in Thailand, so it'll be very hot and very wet !!
