**Please DO NOT offer to buy and sell items here / Profiteering is also not allowed**

Buy the Fitbit HR Charge, Moto 360 (2nd Gen), Samsung Gear S2 or Garmin Vivosmart HR, and get a six month PureGym membership for free.

Seems like a good deal to me? I would be seriously tempted if there was a PureGym near me.

The PureGym site states that memberships start from £9.99 a month, so you're saving at least £59.94 on the cost of a gym membership.

The Fitbit HR Charge appears to be the cheapest tracker in the range at £99.99

Hope it's beneficial for someone.

Puregym membership needs to be claimed by April 30th

Just got off the phone with PureGym. The customer advisor said that you can indeed apply the 6 months free voucher to exisiting memberships. Just call up with the code O2 give you when purchasing the band and they will apply it to your account. The PureGYm advisor also said it didn't matter which gym you already had membership with.

After a load of hassle back and forth with O2, because they didn't send me the gym code, they have finally decided they have none left which is really disappointing as I was actually going to use it!
And there are none left on ebay either apart from one chancer wanting £95!

Just wanted to post and check that no one who was an existing member had encountered issues with their direct debit still being taken?

Got Gear s2 today using o2 priority discount. Paid £199 and got 6 months gym membership as well. Cancelling my current membership at local gym (£30pm). Bedford pure gym costs £19. This saved me £114 plus £50 priority plus saving on current membership. This watch effectively cost me £20 (current membership cost). Happy days. Only one downside I have a IPhone, and that means having to download app on kids Nexus 5. Cannot wait for IOS app release

Can anyone give me the box dimensions of the Garmin? Either by itself or including the packageing from o2. Did it fit through the letterbox? Bit random but don't want UKMail leaving it at their hole, then trying to tell me they posted it.

just wondering if anyone getting mixed responses. I called the number and CS advised I can only access one gym (based on previous comments, i thought this was open to all gyms?) Also how long did people have to wait to get a pin from Puregym? It's been an hour and I havent received a text. I wasn't too happy with the PureGym CS to be honest, they rushed me and didnt repeat my details or check the spelling of my name..

Doesn't surprise me!

UKMail seem to take pride in poor service. I ordered something just before christmas, paid extra for next day delivery and waited in all day only to find that they lied about how they attempted to deliver it!

They should really take a lead out of DPDs book who seem to always get it right, with detailed tracking, on time delivery and polite couriers. Rant over!

Thanks op, my dad got one of these and I've been fiddling about with it for a few days until I officially hand it over at the weekend!

A note: I have very slim wrists (14cm/5.5ins) and I'm not even using the smallest hole on the 'large' size band!

I can only imagine that the 'small' band is for children!

I do find the Fitbit a bit cumbersome but I am used to a slim ladies watch. I've kept my watch on my left wrist and put the Fitbit on the other wrist (my dominant arm).

I'd love one for myself, the information is great and I can see how it could end up a little addictive.

great deal, I have recently signed up to puregym and am on £11.99 a month deal, so meaning that the tracker will only cost me £28 after the £72 saving.
I also happen to own a fitbit charge already, but the battery has died on me and I am only getting 10 - 12 hours out of a full charge. I emailed fitbit on Friday and received a reply on saturday, saying that they had viewed my account, my battery was losing 70% charge over 4 hours and that they are sending out a replacement for me.
Hows that for customer service?
I did ask for an upgrade to an HR model, but was told I can only get like for like, so I am going to buy the HR from here, apply the 6 month code to my puregym account and sell the brand new Charge that is due to arrive in the next few days.
Gotta love Hotukdeals

I merged my new-ish contract from the iPhone 6S deal on here with an old one, and it appears to have kept the old one (and therefore old address) as the main address.

Online chat claimed to have changed it for me last week, but just tried a quick test and it's still the old one.

Ended up creating yet another O2 account. For what it's worth, my mobile bill goes to the right address, it's just this accessories site.

Doubtful. I suspect most folks would see that as being a bit of a crook. The better, less dodgy, way of doing it is just sell the Fitbit on if you don't want it. They still shift on eBay for about £85-90 and I bet you could get close to that figure on gumtree.

Or if you haven't got one (I have one already) just keep it. It's currently the best tracker available for the money and works well enough as a watch, alarm clock and call notifier. I bought mine full price when it came out over a year ago (£129) and have no regrets.
Bossworld
7 Mar 16 #158
I've received a text and another email advising delivery tomorrow. Which is strange as I'd already rearranged delivery for Wednesday.

Yes it's because 02's website is geared towards selling mobile phone contracts and not other gadgets like these fitness trackers. Pretty good deal...even though I have gym membership near my home, I buy this and use it for a gym membership near my work place. According to PureGym they charge £24.99 a month so I will be quids in!!!

On more question regarding garmin. For fitbit they have 2 sizes available on o2 website, but for gamin there is no choice of size. That is going to be regular then I suppose? what if I needed large?

And i still can't decide between 2. Simplicity and a probably better resale value if I do not like it (as fitbit is popular), against functionality and waterproofness (if I do like to keep it).... Arghhhhh decisions, decisions...

Are the gym passes able to loaded on top of another if I buy 2?

Also does it include all the gyms or only the selected gyms mentioned earlier?

Thanks OP. Heat added. Puregym membership for my local is £23 p/m so £38 saved and a free Fitbit!
Elbandito
4 Mar 16 #61
Yes I have seen a few, I might really just sell the tracker to bring costs of membership down further, but it might be quite useful actually, so I'll have a look and then purchase:) shame I can't go to the gym now as i injured my ankle while playing footie recently:(

Edit: Looking at yt reviews, I believe that garmin is actually a better choice, waterproof, more features including notifications etc. One problem Im thinking about is using it during workout, it will be hard to use touch screen with sweaty hands?
Elbandito
4 Mar 16 #58
Just been on the phone with pure gym, no gyms are excluded and you can add this to your existing membership. Im in then! Can you buy this o2 inshore or is it just online?

Also, how does fitbit compare with garmin? The latter looks better and is only 20 quid dearer
dw94 to Elbandito
4 Mar 16 #59
I think you can click and collect. I'm not sure if click and collect is instant or if stock is sent out to the shop though.

As for the Garmin vs Fitbit debate...the reviews I found showed that the Fitbit app was a bit more user friendly but that the Garmin was slightly more accurate in terms of distance and things. Heart rate accuracy between the two looks pretty much the same.

The Garmin has a larger screen which shows more info and has music controls apparently.

Google some of the comparison reviews between both and see what is best for you.

I would say the Fitbit is more popular, so if challenging friends and family and being part of the Fitbit community appeals to you then it's worth considering.
Elbandito
4 Mar 16 #56
wow is that good for current members? I pay 20 a month myself so its essentially a 20 quid saving + a free fitbit hr. Im in!!

sahib0794
4 Mar 16 #53
I'm sure all Puregym brances are applicable with this offer. But if you wanted to access multiple branches with the same code then only the ones I stated are possible. But call Puregym to confirm that your local branch is applicable with the offer. the member services team there is very helpful.
sahib0794
4 Mar 16 #52
Okay sorry I should have made it clearer. That's the list that the manager of Puregym's member services team sent me so for all the locations I can go to with apart from my main gym selection. I am pretty sure all Puregym branches are applicable with this offer. But if you want to access other branches with the same code then only these ones can be accessed because they have a new code access system.

Thanks OP, Cracking deal mate. I've spoken to PureGym and the manager has confirmed to me that we can access all the branches listed below if accessing multiple branches using the membership number provided by PureGym. So basically the membership we're getting with this promotion is comparable to the nationwide membership which is £35.99 so this is an amazing deal. Should get really hot! why is it handy? what do you do with it?

you really want a dedicated HRM and sports watch for that though, the wrist ones the fitness trackers use isn't reliable for intense activities.

4 Mar 16 1 #46
Thats surely cant be the full list theres about 200 odd gyms in the UK.

Plus that list has all the london ones one it so if theyre on then my 2 local would defo be on it.

To me that looks more like the list of ones excluded

I don't get the point of fitness trackers, do you really need a thing on youwrist to tell you if you aren't moving about enough? just look down, if you can't see your feet there is a good chance you aren't doing too well!!

Garmin vivosmart or Fitbit Charge HR? which is better?
daymouse to Adao
4 Mar 16 1 #39
Garmin is water proof and has better smart watch notification such as reading texts. Fitbit is alot more subtle and better desgin. Also belive the fitbit has a much better dashboard for stats and what they actually mean along great customer service.

Plenty of comparisons out there if you google Vs

This deal is crazy hot.

£99.99 for the fitbit (I don't run or do any pedometer sports), resale value would be near the same. PureGym near me is 16.99 (£101.94) effectively making the fitbit free.

Is the fitbit charge really worth that kind of money? The Xiaomi miband 2 pretty much does the same thing for 10 quid doesn't it?
Sunni to peterpan22
4 Mar 16 2 #32
I have both.

I'm not sure why the FitBit Charge HR gets slated for having a bad heart rate monitor. I wear mine to the gym, and it is usually 1-2 beats out of sync with the machine. I find it very accurate personally. I got it for £50, but it's certainly worth £99.

The Mi Band 2 is not in the same league. No continuous heart rate monitoring makes it sort of useless. The step count is also fairly inaccurate.
joshtbh to peterpan22
4 Mar 16 #33
I may have read somewhere once that the heart rate can only be interrogated on demand, and doesn't track it - I tried to find a link to share this with you but couldn't, so they may have updated things....

The terms on the o2 website doesn't say anything about exisiting puregym members but does say this, so might be worth a pop:

When you go to the gym most of the equipment has been broken by people who don't know how to use it and with your own tracker it's kept in a fitness log for you and more 'round the clock'.
