In previous years it's been two separate vouchers. Sometimes they are stackable on redemption, other times not (gift cards should be, but the voucher on the end of the till receipt is often not).
jodie1986

So do you get both vouchers as a great deal if this is the case
caterham7
18 Mar 16#8
Same promotion and terms as previous years it appears;
The Lego voucher is usually on a special Lego designed gift card, the other is a general ToysRUs gift card. On redemption, general gift cards can be stacked, but I think the Lego gift cards are usually limited to one per transaction, but I'd need to check the previous two years to confirm. When they run out of gift cards, they then switch to printing on the till receipt, they are usually one per transaction on redemption, and non stackable.

If you order online and get two vouchers, you can't redeem them in store at all or both online together, so can only get £10 off each of the next two online purchases. Factor in postage if spending below £30 and it's not much of a saving. If you can pick up from the store, you should get two £10 vouchers that can be used together off your next Lego purchase in store (but can't be used online).

Anyone able to confirm both vouchers are issued as happened with previous years promotions? I think with online purchases, the vouchers come later by email, so it'd need to be someone buying in store.

you cant get the voucher if you spend under £40 so the delviery charge doesnt apply, I just ordered the Tie Fighter, for £42.97 after using Gold Card Code.
Plus 3% quidco.
Willg et the £10 voucher, whether anyone gets two vouchers id like to hear from an instore purchase.
Either way its a good deal

cheesefactortoys - I meant for online redemption, you need to pay £4.95 delivery if under £30 - so your £10 voucher quickly becomes just £5.05 if not buying a large Lego set. You can't combine both, so you loose nearly £10 if not ordering over £30, and if you want the full £10 x2 discount, you'll need to spend £40 extra on top to get it.
However, in store pickup and voucher means you could buy a £10 Lego item and get it free or perhaps combine both Lego and general vouchers to get a £20 set free - no extra cost to use both vouchers.
I ordered several £40 sets online last time, but then found out the restrictions on the vouchers, so went instore and picked up the same sets and got the double vouchers. Used the gift cards by stacking to buy the Lego Pet Shop for £2.50 and I think the Palace Cinema for £23 or so, plus had a lot of unstackable vouchers that I spent by buying individual items for just over £10.

Tried using two £10 vouchers (Lego voucher & TRU voucher) when the Unexpected gathering sets were reduced to about £32.50 but was told only one voucher per transaction. In the end, bought two sets for £45.
Definitely received 2 x £10 vouchers 2 yrs ago when they had 2 promos running together. see.
Just picked up an order via C&C and received a £10 gift card valid 18/04 through 02/05. For use instore only and one per transaction. Its a generic card rather than anything Lego specific.

I got 2 vouchers for £40 spend on lego this afternoon - had to prompt them about it though (they thought it was a mistake when it went through but the system did seem to automatically process for 2 x £10 gift card so its definately worth asking).
markhamilton1984
18 Mar 16#31
If you spend £40 on Lego you get a £10 gift card to be spent on a Lego AND a £10 gift card to be spent in store.
If you spent £40 in one spend on non Lego items you get a £10 gift card.
These can't be redeemed until April.
The till should Automatically prompt the operator to swipe both gift cards.
I'm a TRU employee(management) so hope that clear things up. All stores should be aware of it as we started it this morning and it runs through Easter.
Also you can split transactions and maximise the amount of vouchers you get, so if your spending £80 split it into 2 transactions. If your just under the spend buy a kinder egg/creme egg to take you over the £40 as we found today buying a 99p reusable bag doesn't count towards the spend.
All t&c's are on the gift cards themselves and posters around the store.
Hope this helps.

I really do not know. It's best to click and collect if you can and pay separately. Online is run 'independently' of a store in a nutshell so they could have different policies, give the customer helpline a call and query them in it. If no luck take items back to store for a refund and buy them again.
caterham7
18 Mar 16#38
Aliceb84 - I got two vouchers with online orders fron a previous year promotion, but then found I could only use one £10 voucher at a time when ordering online, and if ordering under £30 there was a fiver postage. So it's not the best deal as you need to spend either £50 to get £60 worth of Lego or £80 to get £100 of Lego. In store, you need to spend £40 to get £60 of Lego in total.
I returned my online orders to store for a refund and then bought the same items in store plus loads more Lego, and got gift cards that I could stack to pay for a single large ticket Lego set. I don't know how they claim back the emailed online vouchers if you return items - I never used them, but didn't receive any other emails to tell me they had cancelled them.

It's true what markhamilton1984 said. I'm also a tru employee.
Spend £40 or more on Lego and get 2 x £10 gift cards. There's 2 promotions running, if the cashier does it right one card should be Lego themed and the other generic. Things that aren't included are Lego dimensions and the Lego storage bricks/heads and a few more but read the signage. Things like bags, nappies and baby formula are not included at they are classed as government taxable items. Oh and you can't buy other gift cards to get gift cards.
Also don't forget to use the gift cards within the dates printed on them as after that date they get wiped.

Spent x2 amounts just over £40 each, and got x4 £10 gift cards. They're slightly different to previous years, looks like they can't be stacked, as the usual 'normal' TRU card is a special promotional one as well. Both state limit of one promotional gift card per transaction on redemption.

I'm just back from TRU. Bought the Lego Doctor Who set for £49.99 for my sons birthday next Saturday. Cashier automatically gave me the TRU gift card but I had to ask for the Lego gift card. First he said I wasn't allowed both, but gave me the Lego one too as if he was doing something he shouldn't. Both gift cards are showed on the receipt so the tills obviously allow it.

If you spend £40 on Lego then he should give you both as even Head Office and marketing sent emails down stating we are allowed to do it. The tills bring it up automatically and won't let the cashier continue with the transaction unless these cards a swiped through obviously if it shows up on your receipt then you're entitled to it. Whatever that cashier was doing was wrong. Makes me wonder if he was going to keep it for himself?
Additional. He should have given you the Lego one anyway as the purchase was on lego

So is it true that the vouchers you get in-store can't be stacked at all this year? So if I get 4 x £10 vouchers from click and collecting two purchases over £40 each, I'll end up with four £10 vouchers that need to be spent on four separate purchases?

I purchased 3 x Lego Scooby Doo Haunted Lighthouse sets and to top up I added 3 Lego Mixels. Went to cashier and paid in three separate transactions and received £60 worth of vouchers. I was also informed that I can return the sets and still keep the vouchers!!! This is free Lego. The member of staff was very helpful and informed me that returns were within the rules.
