Is this worth buying compared to the (free) championship manager 16 app? (I've been playing that and thought that was good even with a couple of glitches).

This is head and shoulders above Champ Manager. Highly addictive and well worth £2.99!
It was posted before, but went back to £6.99 shortly after that. It's back at £2.99 for the time being

If you have an nvidia card, like a 660 or 750ti, and have steam/footy manager installed, download moonlight to your phone/tablet and play the full version whilst in bed. Infact, get a cardboard headset, some tracking software and tridef and you have a cheap occulus thrift for games like elite dangerous.

It says there is in app purchases - what would they be? Never played FM before

If it's anything like last year's game the IAPs will be for cheating, effectively. Cash injections (i.e. a waelthy takeover of the club you manage), in-game editor (i.e. the ability to edit the game's teams/players while playing it) amongst other things as well as unlocking additional challenges such as keeping your club safe from relegation with an injury hit team.

Mines currently at 420mb with app+data on Android. There was an option when installing to download player pictures which I declined.

I'm a sucker for FM and was always debating it for mobile. It seems to have developed well from a few years ago. Something to play during my 3 hour daily commute.

This might be a stupid question but can you play FM across 2 android devices with the same save game? i.e. is there a way I can start a career on my mobile and play it on my tablet too using the same career?

This is not a stupid question, as I was wondering the same and I'm not stupid! :-)

Are you bothered about the game being up-to-date, more current and do you want to buy it?
I can't really answer this for you.

I bought this game during the last sale and can't find a way to continue your progress on another device (eg phone to tablet)...i think that function was only on the FM Touch version that my devices aren't compatible with.
