The Steam key comes in the box on a piece of card, no DVD (or DVD drive) required.

Because, amazingly, people live in different parts of the country.

I really do wonder when this game's price is going to drop sub £10! D:
From what I've heard and read, it's basically a shooter with RPG elements. ): I don't want to spend £20 + £20 (season pass) for something so far from the classic fallouts!

Why?
I live in a tiny village and I can get 200Mb from Virgin or 76Mb from Openreach.

Only? My connection is 8mb

It's only 100Mb, I could get faster if I was willing to pay for it. But even on 50Mb it wouldn't have taken that long - still downloaded and installed faster than it did on my PS3 from the disc.

I don't know why they even bother with the disk. I redownloaded GTA V the other night didn't even take that long and that thing is massive.

That argument is all relative to the speed of your connection though

Blu-Ray drives? Almost all pre-assembled PCs and laptops come with a DVD drive?

I don't see what's stopping them from using Blu-Ray discs for game storage.
Edit: Forgot about the cost of Blu-Ray Drivers.

Just a heads up you'll need to download around 40gb of game data even with physical disk, but before anyone complains they must know that amount of data would not fit on a DVD. Heat from me.
