Just checking PS Prices GB and it's listing a huge amount of reductions on Psn starting from now, ranging from the new PS2/PS4 games being dropped to £6.49 (Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud), Twisted Metal Black for £4.99, Knack £5.79, Steam world Dig £2.49, Infamous First Light £4.99, Vita Persona Dancing All Night £14.99
Too many to list for my mobile lol, the ps3 isn't left out either (Dishonored £3.99, GOW Ascension £6.49 etc), best thing to do is have a gander.

If your talking about the PS4/Xbox One "Ports" then you would of been ripped off paying £40 for two games that are not Remasters but simple ports that run WORSE than the PS3/Xbox 360 versions.

Dark Cloud is worth a purchase. Bought it at full price and love it! (Like I did X number of years ago!)

Note that this version will be the crippled 25fps version, whereas I created a US account for the stable 30fps.

Onechanbara Z2 Chaos is definitely worth a punt at just over a tenner. I know some people will respond to this in a 'lol' manner, but it's not like the barely-a-game-but-check-out-them-butts predecessors. It's more like a hyperactive Musou title now, with enemies flying all over the place. Surprisingly good stuff.

Tales from the Borderlands is also pretty good value at that price and... well, quite a few others. This is a pretty good sale.

16 Mar 16 #38
It's almost true, if slightly exaggerated - you can finish the campaign in about four or five hours so it's longer than something like Firewatch, but still not a particularly long game. There's a bunch of challenge rooms and the like and skills/weapons to upgrade, but it is definitely shorter than I'd have liked. Full price might have been a stretch, but you'd get your money's worth in this current sale, I think.

It is fun, and Kagura's got a great moveset to go combo crazy with.

Unrelated, but in response to the above - SFV, despite being bare bones and replete with broken online, has a way better flow and initial roster than IV, I feel. I'd trade Rainbow Mika's crazy wrestling shenanigans for the whole SFIV cast any day - she's way more fun to use than any of them. SFIV had a weirdly boxy, mechanical feel to it that I just never got into.

Still, IV's on sale and V isn't (and also not finished), so...

Psn don't refund anything without a fight even if their terms say you are entitled it is never straight forward. You are lucky to get the games you buy sometimes as it is known for games to dissapear from the transactions list (which has happened to me) but Sony say it is impossible. So I would guess no.

So what's the deal with the new Need for Speed. It's pretty expensive at retail still, yet 22 quid isn't bad. Is it really 'online only' so if/when they turn off the servers, that's it?! I'm pretty confused. The game looks awesome and I've been tempted over the past few months every time it's gone on sale.. But was looking for retail so I could sell it on before they do a server shut down if it's going to be unusable in about 3 years.

Thanks but are you absolutely sure about this? Meaning you will be able to play the game even if your plus subscription expires?
Smelly_Pickle
17 Mar 16 1 #78
Anything you spend money on is yours to keep forever. As long as it isn't add-on content and you are purchasing a game then it will always work, add-on content will always be owned also but obviously won't work without the game. You can also check when and if your games will expire by going to sonyentertainmentnetwork.com signing in and clicking on the media tab.

The Issue isn't with what you buy it is about dealing with glitches and trusting Sony with your games. I have had a few games that I have purchased completely dissapear from the transactions list. This is a glitch of some sort that many people have experienced with psn but Sony refuse to accept responsibility and put the games back or refund them so they essentially stole over £100 of my games. Their words are "the transactions cannot be modified". I used up a voucher and gor some bargains with this deal but I won't buy digital content from my actual wallet again.

I think that this Driveclub 'upgrade' may be the exception, or be treated as add-on content and end up being restricted that way. I don't currently have a better link, but see the discussion here: https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/05/07/whats-included-driveclub-playstation-plus-edition/

Check your transaction history in your account settings and set it in a certain date when the purchase was made and it will have all the information you need such as the game you bought, when you bought it and transaction ID. Go to settings on your PS4. If you need any more help reply back and i'll help. No excuse for Sony not to give you back your digital games as you will have all the proof you need that is on your PS4 transaction history.

I'd recommend the standard edition of BF4 espesially at 8 pounds which is cheaper than you can find it preowned.

Also even though no one is playing the premium maps theres still alot of people playing standard maps and theres usually at least 40,000 people who still play it daily on PS4.

17 Mar 16 #86
I don't need help, the glitch is with the transactions history list. What was once there dissapears so there is no way of checking. I have the trophies for some of the games and have only ever had one psn account. Because they aren't in the list "it didn't happen" but it did. Regrettably thinking all of my games were secure I deleted the email receipts long before it happened so I am stuck with my word against Sony's. I have a Sony reciepts email folder now so they won't steal from me again (and get away with it).

darkspace100
18 Mar 16 #93
Trust me i'm not Sony's biggest fan. In fact i'm still annoyed that they aren't giving us PS3 backwards compatability and wasting time and money on gimmicky fads like VR but i'm not sure how transaction history can disappear. I've never heard of that happening to anyone and I don't want to say your lying but its very hard to believe.
darkspace100
18 Mar 16 #94
I know Sony are an awful company but i didn't think it was possible for something like that to happen. Seeing how its happened to you as well then i guess it is possible so i'm sorry if i upset either of you. Trust me i hate Sony myself so i don't really ever defend them.
Smelly_Pickle
18 Mar 16 #95
Anything with computers can glitch, be buggy, be hacked etc. You can't trust anything digital 100%. I have no reason to lie and that is where I take offence. I hate EA just as bad, they have done a similar thing to me with fifa 14 on ios (my ultimate team just dissapeared after an app update) they play the ignore game until you go away, yet I still buy fifa.. I just don't pay for in app purchases or digital content anymore.
This sale was great though, I had a voucher and I used it and there is a good chance I'll get to keep the games and if not they wern't as expensive as the games I lost and essentially I didn't pay for them.

Take care.
darkspace100
18 Mar 16 1 #96
Fair enough but if a company screws you over yet you keep giving them money then its gives them arrogance that they can get away with stuff like this. You say EA has stole off you too yet you keep buying Fifa they are laughing all the way to the bank and stop giving these companies more money. you need to defend yourself by arguing your case until you win or just do a chargeback from your bank as you aren't getting what you paid for.

If you don't have your principals then you don't really have anything. I hope this reply hasn't annoyed you as i'm not trying to be a dick and i was just trying to help a fellow gamer out as i previously did say i would help with your transaction history.
